I bought this for my prized Leica. I live on an island, commuting by tiny boat, and am on the beach a lot. I am extremely pleased with this case. It feels thick and durable. But I have never had an incident where the case was accidently, terribly splashed or submerged, so I don't know for sure how protective it can be.
