Product Description

The Leifheit twister mop set is the ultimate way to clean the floors of your home. Based on the principle of centrifugal force-with rotation of the mop, water and dirt are forced outward, away from the center of rotation. The more you twist, the drier the mop becomes-you can have complete control on how wet or dry the mop should be for your cleaning job. The set includes the twister system bucket which keep water and dirt from spinning outside the bucket-keeping your clean up jobs cleaner. Tough on dirt, not on you. This mop wrings out with minimal effort. Treat yourself or someone you know with the advanced cleaning system of the twister mop by Leifheit. You'll be glad you did.

I recently got this Leifheit mop and contrary to the 1-star reviewer I quite like it. I did not find it hard to put together (you screw together the individual parts of the handle and insert the mop part, really not too challenging). I also think the bucket as well as the mop are of regular size. The reason it might seem to be smaller is that it has this insert in the bucket to spin the mop to the desired level of dryness but that's all. The mop is not huge, that is true, but it is of regular size and suitable for normal mopping jobs. If you happen to live in a mansion with a hotel-size entrance hall, you might want to get a different product as that would seem daunting but if you do not, this is not too small in my opinion and sufficient for normal-size kitchens and bathrooms.

I love the spinning/drying action of this product. All you do is soak the mop in the bucket and then put the mop head in the 'centrifuge' or spinner, press down on the handle, and voila, the mop head starts spinning and excess water is removed. I am not quite sure how it works, I am not a technical person (there are no batteries involved, and it seems a bit like a spin top toy), but in the end all I care about is that I do not have to wring this out manually but can just let this mechanism do the job, which gets the mop much drier anyway than I ever could with wringing it. Also, I've had occasional issues with painful thumbs and wrists (from typing), and so this works especially well in these circumstances as I do not have to twist my wrists/thumbs.

The only thing that I miss a bit is an actual bucket handle.

Thank you for making my life easier. I dreaded cleaning my floors until I used this mop for the first time. You don't have to fill bucket up to water level if you are having too much pain in your wrists. The greatest part of using this mop is that YOU DON'T HAVE TO SQUEEZE THE WATER OUT OF THE MOP. It is amazing how you don't have to touch this mop to be able to get all the water (or most of the water) out of the mop. It does the same job than someone who is able to squeeze a mop. Bucket is perfect size for my rooms, which are mostly 12x14.

This is the best mop I've ever used. All you have to do is put the wet mop on top (in the holder), push down on the mop handle and the mop starts spinning very fast. No more struggling with wringing out a mop. The mop is almost dry. It was easy to put together. My only complaint is that the mop bucket doesn't have a handle. The product description stated "handled bucket". I called the company, left a message and waiting for their response.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
I've used this mop quite a bit, and it's pretty decent. It comes completely disassembled, so there is some assembly required. There are 4 parts that make up the mop handle, and they all snap in place. Then you snap on the mop head, the bucket handle, and you're ready to go.

This mop is unique in that you place it in the spinner, press down, and it spins the water out. No wringing action, no mess. It's very easy to use. It does a pretty good job of mopping, but does not have any ability to scrub. So if there are dried foods on your floor, this mop will not get them off.

The overall feel of this mop is really cheap. The handle bends if you press too hard (e.g. scrubbing), and I was worried I would break it. It does a pretty decent job of cleaning, but it's certainly not worth fifty dollars. As far as cleaning goes, my old traditional sponge mop cleans much better.

This is a high quality mop set. The spin mechanism is a smooth action that rings out as much moisture as you want. This feature is desirable as you can damp mop hard wood floors w/o leaving streaks or water spots. The mop is normal sized and the plastic is very high quality. It does not have a traditional handle; however I am finding the manner which you carry this is less stressful on your wrist. Not having a handle prevents getting inadvertantly hooked on to somthing like a door knob as you go room to room. Everything is very easy to put together. The handle does not come apart once you snap it together - this was designed to make it more compact for shipping but it is, never the less, very sturdy. This mop makes the job of cleaning floors a breeze. Made in Czech Republic. Leifheit 55400 Twister Strip Mop with Handled Bucket

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
The worst part of mopping the floors for me is wringing out the mop. For whatever reason, although I thoroughly clean the mop every time I use it, I get all grossed out by touching the mop. I use gloves, then I wash the gloves, then I dry to gloves, then I put the, where the dry gloves go so they won't get dirty (or touch anything else) before I use them again...

So I was excited to get the chance to try this mop. The funniest part to me is that the directions are in a few languages, but none of them are English. I'm a woman, I generally try to start with the directions to avoid problems later. But, hey, no problem. There are diagrams of screwing the pieces of the mop stick together, and each piece is numbered. Plus, the picture on the box helps.

It took about 3 or 4 minutes with my 5 and 7 year old daughters "helping" in order to put the mop stick together. Then I had to put the plastic piece that attaches to the mop bucket ON the mop bucket. It did take a few tries to get that placed right. In the mean time the silver mop bucket handle came separated from the bucket, but that was put back on easily enough.

I filled up the bucket, added soap, and went to use the bucket. It was a little trickier than I expected, but once I figured it out it was easy. It did take my girls longer to get the hang of wringing out the mop.

What you do is set the mop in the spinner part (but it does have to be in there in a "special" way) and then press down on the mop handle. That activates the spinning action. It's not a super fast spin that wrings out your mop quickly, so I use an up and down motion for it to continue spinning. I press down (starts the spin), then I release the "pressure" and press down again. I do this several times.
