This product works better than great for smashing taters. After using it a few times I would recommend to everyone as a great product!

Excellent product. I use it for bananas, potatoes, and any other food that needs mashing. Sturdy and very well constructed. Mashes very effectively for a hand masher.

This is the best hand masher I've ever used. Looks nice, works nice, andfits in your hand nice. It's a little pricy, but worth it.

This is a well-built quality masher. The two support bars allow you to put more pressure without bending the masher. It is highly recommended though it is expensive compared to others.

Heavy Duty Construction But Not Performance,
By EMA (New York) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Leifheit Stainless Steel Pro Line Potato Masher (Kitchen)
Before I continue with my review, I must preface it by saying that I didn't actually use this potato masher for mashing potatoes but beans (for burgers, dips, etc.). SO, my review is based on how well this item performed doing that. That being said, this item is nicely made, looks nice, and would most likely last a lifetime. But, as just mentioned, I was looking for something that would adequately mash BEANS for me. I tried this for a couple of dishes, and both times it was a struggle to break up the beans, no matter how well (i.e. soft) they were. Because of it's dismal performance, I actually ended up sending this item back to Amazon. If you're looking for something strictly for potatoes, then this will probably serve you nicely. But, if you're searching for a masher to do more than just mash some spuds, look elsewhere. |
