5.0 out of 5 stars excellent workout, my wife loves it too
we are fitness video junkies, as we got tired of going to the gym and being staired at or feeling inferior to others, so we decided to try exercising to videos and it has now been three years and we feel great and look better than ever. 3.0 out of 5 stars You don't need the Core Bar....
This workout is pretty good, but you don't really need the Core Bar--since 90% of people doing the workout are at home, you can use a chair, or sofa, or doorway for the stretching portions where the Core Bar is used as just a support, or even a cane or walking stick, for that matter.

And yes, you can use dumbbells, or another body bar (the big difference with...

My wife loves Leisa Hart's videos, and this one is so good. You feel the bars resistance more and more. The first time I did this video I could tell it was going to be in our hall of fame of favorites, along with taebo and kathy smiths line, as leisa hart demonstrates great toning moves. My wife really likes working on her thighs(i love her thighs! :-)) and this video hits them great. I love feeling like my upper body is getting all that it can handle, and this video does it. I'd recommend it and the Fit To The Core Chisel to anyone, good luck and enjoy working out at home.

5.0 out of 5 stars great arm toning, cardio is unique yet easy to learn, September 9, 2004
This review is from: Leisa Hart's Fit to the Core: Burn (DVD)
i have to admit i am new to home videos for exercise, but i love this unique cardio style of workout...Leisa Hart is a great instructor and makes me feel like i can accomplish this routine and get my body into shape, and i have done that with the CORE BAR and her other videos, aka, Gym In A Box....she has great videos and is a competent, strong and sexy looking role model(and a new mom like me, i just wish i could be that fit!!!)...you have to try the CHISEL Fit TO The Core video and teh Gym In A Box, they are WELL WORTH IT, oh, and get her Core Bar, it is the best wieght tool i have ever seen, nothing else compares, my hand weights, my Body Bar, nothing is as good and convenient....Good luck!

5.0 out of 5 stars fabulous!!!, February 8, 2005
This review is from: Leisa Hart's Fit to the Core: Burn (DVD)
the versatility of the CORE BAR that Leisa uses in this video is incredible, its like using 3 different body bars and 2 sets of dumbbells, but it's one easy to adjust Core Bar....the workout is intense and effective, a fabulous workout.

5.0 out of 5 stars Core Bar is a great home weight tool, loved the routines, November 24, 2004
This review is from: Leisa Hart's Fit to the Core: Burn (DVD)
after trying several different home gyms and other weight training products, i find Leisa Hart's CORE BAR to be ideal for me, the bar is adjustable and you can use it with other workout videos, but Leisa's FitToTheCore videos are very good and train the major muscle groups is a slow and effective fashion. I loved it.

the flow that leisa hart uses in this video is really good for my body, i liked the way the weight starts to feel heavier and makes me work harder and harder the more i do it. the CORE BAR i bought at leisahart.com is the best weight bar, i love it. I would think more people will start to use it once they see how good it is

3.0 out of 5 stars You don't need the Core Bar...., March 6, 2008
This workout is pretty good, but you don't really need the Core Bar--since 90% of people doing the workout are at home, you can use a chair, or sofa, or doorway for the stretching portions where the Core Bar is used as just a support, or even a cane or walking stick, for that matter.

And yes, you can use dumbbells, or another body bar (the big difference with hers seems to be that it's padded, which is nice but not essential, and that you can adjust the weights and use the ends as very light handweights). Her bar only goes up to 12 pounds, which could be an issue for when you want to ramp up your workout a bit. If using dumbbells, you might want to get some with straps that go across the back of the hand.

I rented this, and in the chapter breakdown, it shows a picture of them exercising on the floor. There is no matwork on this DVD whatsoever. Also, and this is not mentioned in the description, it is around a 30-minute main workout, with a bonus workout (great music) of about 7 minutes.

I like the instructor, but wish she'd put all the chitchat about the gadgets on separate chapters and NOT anywhere in the workouts.

5.0 out of 5 stars Totally Worth It, May 4, 2006
This review is from: Leisa Hart's Fit to the Core: Burn (DVD)
The Coer Bar is totally easy to use, i read the previous review and decided to say how i thought it was easy to follow Leisa, the Core Bar is the best weigthed bar i have tried, and it is not hard to concentrate and get a workout at the same time. I am an intermediate exerciser and found this to be a great way to stay tone and fit, it was well worth and different and fun routine to follow.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed!!, March 16, 2006
This review is from: Leisa Hart's Fit to the Core: Burn (DVD)
I just received Leisa Hart's Fit to the Core: Burn & the Core Bar in the mail today...I was so excited to do the tape. However, after a flustered and cumbersome workout, I have decided that this workout is going back in the mail tomorrow. Between fighting with the core bar and manuevering it behind my back, switching hand positions from under to over in the middle of her choreography, I didn't get a work out because I was concentrating so hard. I was told to give it one more try but, even if I mastered the core bar movements, I can't see how this workout would help me to burn the amount calories I want to lose. I'm disappointed because the main reason I purchased this set was because I like Leisa Hart in her Abs/Chest of Steel 2000. Don't waste your money and for those of you who gave such good remarks, how many of you are STILL doing this workout AND have lost weight??

5.0 out of 5 stars great strenght training, March 31, 2004
This review is from: Leisa Hart's Fit to the Core: Burn (DVD)
i loved the style Leisa Hart teaches. These videos are fun and effective. Her CORE BAR is better than my body bar, so I'd recommend getting it if you can, I got mine at her website leisahart.com. Both FitToTheCore Burn and Chisel and great, you have to add these into your weekly rotation.
