This review is from: Leisure Time 45405 Citrabright All-Purpose Spa Cleaner (Lawn & Patio)
The spa had been sitting with a dribble of water in it since it's Winter drain. Since I'm new to spas (it came with the house), I was remiss in lighting it off for the Summer. The ring at the water edge was dry and crusty so my opinion, any cleaner would be rightly challenged. I hadn't a clue what to expect as to this product's expected performance.
We finished draining the last bit of water out of the spa tub, towel dried the tub and my wife climbed in and started to work. This is a department she's had lots of experience in, so her experienced efforts were called for. And in the short, the spa "easily" cleaned right up to a sparkly, fresh smelling finish. When we started filling the tub up, yes there was some immediate foaming action. I stopped the fill, removed the rinse water, rinsed a second time and felt comfortable filling the spa up and did so without any additional foaming action. So after using this product, expect to do a couple of quick side wall rises to kill the residual foaming action. My opinion, you don't want to use standard household cleaners on your spa tub because you don't know how the household products will react with the spa sides finish and you don't know how much foaming action you'll have to deal with. We found this product to be an excellent spa cleaning product, low foaming when one is finished using the product that was quickly and easily dealt with; well worth the delivered price. Yes, I agree, the product, when you include shipping is a bit pricey but we're up in the California Sierras above Chico and with the price of gas, when compared to the price of shipping, considering a round trip to Leslie's Pool Supply is about fifty miles, at 16 MPG, we're money and time ahead of the game. Overall, if the added shipping costs don't bother you when compared to the price of gas, I highly recommend this product for cleaning your spa. Hope the above helps.
