I purchased this in order to help me find everything that was in the game, thinking that there were more things that I missed in the game (since I didn't enjoy it that overly much) & to see if there was anything that could help me do better on the mini-games in case that made the experience more enjoyable.

Fifteen dollars later, I have to say that the "hints" given really aren't that overly helpful. The guide almost literally quotes the game directions word for word, and don't provide any real help. "Get the smiley faces & avoid belches & beer." Well no duh. I figured that out after 20 seconds of play time.

The positives are that there are some full pictures of the characters in the game, as well as little blips of character artwork (hand drawn, not computer). There is also lists of full "secrets" such as where to find tokens & the porn fairy (or whatever Ron Jeremy's supposed to be). The half-naked pictures just weren't enough to keep me interested, and I ended up wishing that I'd just stuck to the free gaming guides on the internet.

Since this guide is long since out of print, I don't recommend that someone break their bank trying to get a hold of one. Try looking for previously used copies if you can. (I ended up selling mine.) The ONLY reason this is given 3 stars is because it was nicely laid out, the pictures were well done, & it provided a teensy tiny bit of help. Otherwise it would have rated a 1 star rather than 3.

Personally I'd rate it about a 2.5 overall, but Amazon won't let you give half stars.

This game is a more or less playable 3D-jump-and-run with childish and not-a-single-bit-cool riddles and tasks. If you are looking for the real Leisure Suit Larry there is nothing better than to play the first three epsisodes. This game is missing all the fun and humor of Al Lowe making these episodes so unique. This game is another example of using a famous name for selling stuff.
