Cute product, but it is NOT silicone.

This is a recycled rubber product. The title is highly misleading. If these get hot at all, they deform.

But, they are cute.

This is a great little item I purchased for my husband who just loves penguins. Unfortunately, he washed it in the dishwasher before using it... while the packaging says it is dishwasher safe, the tray warped and now only produces a handful of cubes instead of all 12. Some dishwashers/settings are still safe - just read the fine print before placing this product in yours for cleaning. I purchased a second tray to replace the first - our penguin ice cubes are a great touch when entertaining and serving cocktails :)

Wow!!! I had my reservations when I purchased my penquin ice cube tray, but I was pleasantly surprised at the end result. From the moment I filled that tray up with room temperature water, I couldn't wait for my penguin ice to form. I almost had to physically pull myself away from the freezer so that the water would have enough time to freeze. When the time finally came, I filled my glass up high with penguins, sat down to my favorite evening television show, and had myself a fantastic night. Me, frozen penguins, and classic American sitcoms. It's a shame that ice melts...

I used these for making penguin-shaped chocolates, they worked great!

However, although they say dishwasher safe, make sure they are on the upper rack. I accidentally washed it on the lower rack, and it was too close to the heating element and melted.

There was a Fred brand ice mold next to it which held up fine, since the Fred ones are more heat-resistant - you can put Fred ones in the oven - but not these!

I'd rate it higher if it hadn't melted in the dishwasher after the first time I used it.

I have a bunch of those floppy ice cube trays from Ikea and hate them, but my girlfriend loves penguins so I figured I'd get this, thinking I'd probably hate it too. BUT, its real easy to get the cubes out (unlike the ikea trays) and the penguins are fully intact and pretty darn cute.

as with any ice cube mold, if you dont fill it right, it comes out crappy. too much and they come out with extra ice on the sides and too little and they come out as headless penguins. good product though and material makes it very easy to extract ice cubes without ruining them

I bought this as a gift for a friend who likes penguins, and they were very excited that the penguins have come out perfectly every time he has used it!

This tray is nice, however, the details on the penguins are not very defined and end up looking like a little round ball with a peak, but they still work fine.

I purchased this item for my sister for Christmas. She collects and loves anything to do with penguins. When I found this product I had to buy it for her. When she opened it on Christmas she loved it. I have not seen this product in any store. I was so happy it was made of good qualitiy materials and the ice cubes are so cute when they come out. You can even use it as a jello mold but we have not tried that yet. :)

Not too many people make ice cubes the 'old fashioned' way with ice makers and whatnot now but it's definitely more for a cute and nostalgic use than to make mass ice cubes.

I've read some reviews about not putting it in the dishwasher or intense heat but just wash and drip dry.
