4.0 out of 5 stars Good, addictive puzzler
The Lemmings are here! And now, Lemmings, and Oh No! Even More Lemmings are back for more old-school gameplaying. The collected Lemmings titles are here for your PlayStation, and they're just as you remembered them. The gameplay is addictive and ingenious, and hasn't lost a bit of its charm (unless you played through it too many times back in the day). For those who...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good For Puzzle Gamers
This game is only enjoyable to those who like to spend long perionds of time working with puzzles. This game is a lot of fun, but only for a little while. It gets boring after you've beaten about 30 levels. The levels are also extremely hard and impossible to beat at times. If you like strategy and puzzles, get this. If you like graphics and a game that enever gets...

For those who aren't aware of what Lemmings are, here's a brief explanation. Lemmings are small "folk" with green-hair who do what they're directed to do; they walk in whichever direction you point them to; they perform tasks you tell them to; and they die if you direct them to. Lemmings, in essence, only do what they're told -- the very basis of the game. It's up to you to take them to their base before they die. Therein lies the task. The levels are designed to confuse, obstruct, and trip you up. Thankfully, Lemmings are evolved creatures, relatively speaking of course. They have diversified abilities, or tasks. These tasks range, and different levels require various strategy use of these abilities. You're given a list of Lemmings including Bombers, Builders, Bashers, Floaters, and a litany of others. The real trick is to use the right task for the right obstacle, and with accurate timing. In some cases, you might use as many as five or six different tasks to complete the mission. Since the game contains two previously released titles, the amount of levels reaches into three figures. There are hours and hours of gameplay to be had here. A normal Lemmings go-round usually lasts either only 15 minutes (a mild mental exercise), or about six hours, miminum. It's rare that anyone can actually pull himself or herself away for any shorter time.

2.0 out of 5 stars I don't want Male Pattern Baldness at my age., January 23, 2002

Many may consider the lemmings series a revolutionary puzzle game. In some ways it is, you take a species of morons and guide them threw an underground world of blood curdling traps. However after the first 5 puzzles you will literally start ripping your hair out in frustration. YOu will be cursing day in and day out if you even attempt to beat this. The variouse difficulties don't help either.
To maek matters worse there are no Gameshark Codes, or cheat codes in general for this, maybe thats because no one ever beat this damn thing.
I would rent this if you want to relive some good old lemmings fun, but if you have never tried this than don't bother, you will just rip your hair out.

2.0 out of 5 stars Do you want gray hairs, or no hair, January 20, 2002
This review is from: Lemmings & Oh No! More Lemmings (Video Game)
This game is the return of the classic lemmings game from the PC days. I bought this as soon as I saw it becasue on the SNES there was a 2 player option. That made things funny (Granted it's not the funnest multiplayer game) but it still had it's moment (Sabatoge). First off this game is 1 player, that cuts out replay value. THen we hit the puzzles which at first are simple but then we hit the big problem, further down. I swear to god this game is immpossible to beat without the use of Gameshark, it is so F****** frustrating that I gave up on it.
IT's been two years no and I still don't touch the damn thing. It will remain as a memento to how I should search with caution before I buy.
