I checked out 5 used car buying guides out of the library and read all the requisite guides: Consumer So and So, Ultimate Guide This, Ultimate Guide That... Read Phil Edmonston's book (2001 guide) last because I wasn't into "buying a lemon". Well someone smack me, this is the best guide I have ever read.
Finally, someone who is not afraid to stand up to the Big Three (Ford, in particular) for continuing to let reliability be an afterthought in the manufacturing process. My only gripe: it is damn hard to find his 2004 Used Car Guide at bookstores, and my local library doesn't have it :-(. Kudos, Phil Edmonston!
