Each Springerle cookie in the Lemon Bee Springerle Cookie Tin by Embossed Edibles depicts a design with bees and bee skeps, a common type of bee hive in the 1800's. The bee skep today is a decorative garden item, conical in shape and made from braided straw. The delightful bee skep desigin cookies range from 1 1/4 in. x 2 in. to 3 in. x 2 in. The 6 cookies come individually wrapped and packaged in a platinum gift tin with satin ribbon and an embossed seal. The Bee Skep Springerle Cookie Gift Tin is a perfect gift for a birthday, housewarming or other special occasion. When you place your order, each cookie is created using a Springerle mold and then baked and hand-decorated. These Springerle cookies have a unique rich lemon cake-like texture inside with a crispy outside. Springerle molds and recipes used for baking cookies come from a very old European tradition. Bought this tin of Springerle cookies for my daughter and her husband as an anniversary(12/26) gift in spite of the cost---$6 per cookie. I knew she wouldn't get them until the middle of January but ordered them anyway. They arrived on her anniversary and she was delighted!!! She said they were delicious, but she intended to save some as ornaments as they were so beautifully decorated. Don't know if that ever happened. I was just very happy that I chose a product that made her so happy. GREAT COOKIES, GREAT SERVICE!!!!!!!! Thanks so much!!!!
