I've used Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream (Lemon Butter Cuticle Creme .6 oz) for a long time now, so when I discovered Lemony Flutter, I instantly wound up comparing it to Burt's. Lemony Flutter was included in one of LUSH's special package deals for feet (Sole Revival), which was excellent for me, because I wouldn't have had a reason to try it otherwise. Upon opening up the container, the scent (compared to Burt's) was lacking. The first whiff is pure lemon, bright and vibrant, but there's a back note of something I don't like. I'm not sure what it is, unfortunately, but it smells sort of industrial, wet-dog-ish and plastic-like. If I'd sniffed it in the store, I wouldn't have put it in my shopping cart.

But... Since I already had the cream, there was no sense in letting it go to waste, so I tried some on my feet, figuring socks would block any disagreeable odor anyway, and I kinda sorta fell in love. Burt's may have a delicious scent, but Flutter's got a rich, thick, smooth, comforting consistency that my skin didn't even know it needed. Like reviewer Ruby said, this stuff isn't just for cuticles, it's for anywhere you need deep, effective, lasting moisture and softness: toes, heels, callused fingers, elbows, dry knees.

I still find the scent off-putting, so I use it sparingly, which is fine since a little goes a long way. I also try to use it with something else heavily fragranced to make the after-odor less noticeable. I really like the LUSH Each's Peach Massage Bar for that purpose, since the tropical, citrusy scent combines well with the lemon.

I use it on my feet before I go to bed. I tried it on my cuticles and it took a while for it to sink into my skin, so I decided to try it on my feet. Overnight, my feet started looking better. It doesn't make them feel hydrated though, just greasy. I have year round dry feet that crack and peel. This helped them a lot, regardless of the grease! It smells like Froot Loops cereal, and in the jar the top of the butter had a different color from what was underneath. It looked like I left it opened but, I didn't? Needless to say, for the price on the LUSH site (where I bought it) it's expensive, but it will last a long time. I am hoping I can use it before the expiration date! I won't be buying this one again, either way.

This was a stocking stuffer from Santa. I loved it better than any of my gifts. It is great for the cuticles, but I use it daily on my feet. They are like when I was a young girls again. I have used so many things and this is the only thing that truely works...

I love Lush's lemony flutter. It keeps my cuticles soft and helps prevent my fingers from cracking in the cold. Its great on any dry areas of skin like elbows, heels, even the lips.
I have been using this for years and it is a staple for winter skin care.

I love this butter, became actually addicted to it. Use it everyday and it really mantains the cuticles in place, moisturized and all. But every time I buy it I suffer a bit because of the price.
