I would have given it 5 stars but I took one off for the color. I ordered it in brown, believing the picture which shows a beige-khaki color. Nevertheless, the skirt is a coffee or dark chocolate.

The sizing is true--the waist of the skirt falls right around your natural waist (belly button area) and would not sit low on the hips unless a larger size is ordered. The skirt I ordered is medium in brown and falls just above my knees (my height is 5'2"), so it's conservative enough yet not frumpy at all. It swings beautifully but has enough heft so no worries about windy days. The way this is tailored gives the waist a nipped-in look that just creates the illusion that the wearer has an hourglass shape. Also, the fabric has some stretch to it. The belt is removable and usable on other clothing items as well. I have a collection of skinny belts and ribbons to create different looks with just a handful of clothes.

It goes with just about anything: from button-down shirts to cardigans to silk blouses; it can be dressed up or dressed down, worn with heels or flats. The possibilities are endless. To conclude, the skirt is a classic, a must-have item in your closet as it is the perfect alternative to pencil skirts and flat a-lines.

I purchased the gray and the chocolate brown skirts. Neither skirt was incorrectly patterned as stated by other reviewers. I am 5'4" and the hemline hits just below the knee. The narrow belt and pleats are slimming.

These skirts are great for wearing to work and going to dinner after. They are definitely flirty and fun to wear. Even at the end of the day, the fabric still looked crisp.

I didn't give five stars as the skirts are too dressy to wear with tank tops or t-shirts. Perhaps fitted t-shirts or camisoles would look nice.

I do wish there were more shades available as I would definitely purchase more.

I love this skirt. The pleats add character to the skirt without adding bulk, and it is very attractive in person. My main gripe is that it runs small. I have a 34 inch waist and ordered the XL, which by most standards would be my size. The skirt fit - but only just! Shimmying the skirt over my hips (42 inches) is an ordeal, but once it's zipped up, all is well. The skirt makes my waist look tiny (which, who doesn't love that?) and it is extremely becoming. Also, the belt is a good thickness and size and quality, but the extra length of it just stiffly sticks straight out when buckled and must be rigged to stay in place by some tucking, which is not what I would have liked.

All in all, worth buying for the excellent price and pretty look, but beware the sizing and the belt issue.

I purchased this skirt for myself. I have had problems finding a skirt I liked and was comfortable in. This skirt is very nice. It runs a touch small so instead of small you might want medium. Depends on how much room you want in the waistband. The skirt also runs a little on the short side. A little above the knee. I wore this to church and loved the feel and the way it moved. The belt is a nice touch. Not a bad skirt for the price.

It's the proper length, good quality material, pretty pleats, a little tight however as it seems the sizing runs small.

I truly love the color and the lines in the skirt, but didn't realized how short the skirt was. if the skirt was just a little more tab longer it would of been a hit.

This is a great skirt for the person that wants more than a pair of jeans. Paired with a blouse or sweater makes for a great weekday look. Seller shipped quickly and I was truly satisfied with the service and product. Thanks

I was sceptical but, this is a very nice skirt for the price. It's not lined so I will be wearing a slip (I am always too cold and need extra clothes anyhow!). It does seem to run a bit large... but only a BIT! Order your proper size (I did) and use the belt that's included or another skinny belt to top it off. I will probably order one in another color as well. Recommended if you like to look decent at work and are on a budget.

I was a little doubtful about having a pleated skirt, but I have to admit, it works very well. I ordered the light green in a size large. I have very wide hips and I found this to be the perfect fit for me (consistent with a size large on every other skirt I've purchased from Amazon).

It is slightly stretchy, and twirls nicely when I turn. This would be a very nice skirt to go dancing in. The belt that comes with it is far too long for the waist, but is easy to trim down to the proper size, or just leave off entirely as it's only a fashion accessory.

I am looking forward to purchasing more of these skirts to make them a staple in my wardrobe, but I'm having trouble deciding which colors I want to buy first!
