Chainmail rose to prominence in the Dark Ages, High Middle Ages and the Renaissance. Wearing mail during battle proved to be a strong defense against sharp weapons. These steel pieces are very heavy and fully wearable. They are a great example of the styles worn by Knights in the 15th and 16th centuries
This mail will fit up to a 52" chest and the sleeves are 3/4 in length.
Our chain mail shirt and hood would be a great addition to any history, military or Medieval collection.

I purchased this chain mail shirt and coif for my son, who has a 10th century Viking persona for RenFaires, LARPing, et cetera. It is butted, not riveted, chain mail, which is what one would expect for the reasonable price. Very well made. Vendor shipped it out promptly.
