Lenmar DLCE5 Digital Camera Equivalent to the Canon LP-E5 Battery

I had purchased a new Canon T1i and bought this battery so I would have a second battery if needed. The first time I had to use it was on a trip into Carlsbad Caverns and, considering that I would need to be using flash and Live View in the caverns I was uncertain how long it would last. It was, after all, not an original equipment battery.

The battery allowed me to take 230+ pictures before it died. That may not sound like much considering users should normally expect 500-600 pictures on a charge, but except for the first dozen or so pictures taken outside the cave ALL of the remaining pictures were taken either with a flash or (most) with Live View and time exposures. I consider 230+ pictures to be excellent for that kind of usage and the battery performed much better than I would have expected. If I purchase another battery to carry with me it will be one of these.

Lenmar makes One of the best replacement batteries.I have used their batteries for years and never had A problem.I love the price compared to the Canon batteries.I will continue to puechase Lennmar Batteries for all my cameras

The battery is a direct replacement (size and voltage ) for the Canon battery. Works fine for half the price.

Out of the box it works well. Using it in a T1i. Slides in easily. True test will be what it does a year from now as most aftermarket batteries work well initially but some will crap out after a year or so. For the price I took the chance this will be a good one.

Update: got the battery grip for the T1i for xmas. Grip works well with the canon battery and this one in there together.

Update 2: Over two years later and still working just fine. Not using it heavily but still takes a charge well and lasts about the same as when new.

I've been using this lenmar battery for 2 months now & it works great! After reading the many reviews I decided to make the purchase. I have been pleasantly surprised by the battery life. I use it in my battery grip in conjunction with the OEM canon battery. I use the camera everyday for work & taking pictures with my kids. I only have to recharge both batteries once every 3 or 4 weeks!

I was hesitant to buy a battery other than a Canon OEM battery for my T1i camera after reading many complaints from users of other brands of replacement batteries, especially those that didn't fit in the camera properly. But a friend told me he had no problems with the Lenmar battery he purchased for his Canon 40D, so I decided to take a chance.

I'm completely satisfied with this battery. It fits in the camera properly, charges well and takes just as many pictures as the Canon original. At about half the price of the Canon battery, it is a bargain.

I have purchased different lenmar batteries as stand by for 4 different Canon cameras. This one is for my recent DSLR T1i. Battery seems to perform as good as Canon original LP-E5. Less than half the price and quick shipping. Thanks..

I bought this for 18 bucks rather then 50 for the canon and i'm glad I did. It lasts just as long if not longer and It fit even easier then the original canon that came with my camera. If I ever need another I will for sure buy this brand again!

I was going to buy the Canon battery for my new Canon DSLR then saw this much cheaper product. At first, I was skeptical, but I saw some positive reviews from other Lenmar users and that they had no problems. I gave it a shot and it works great. No reason to spend $80 for a Canon battery. This works perfectly fine.

I've only owned this replacement battery for a short time, but for my Canon T1i it's been the perfect replacement battery. I usually swap this and my original Canon battery out for each other when they start to look as though they're wearing down. I put one on the charger and go back to work with the other. I can't tell the difference between the two. Only time will tell how well this one will perform in the long run, but for now I'm completely happy.
