Before using it I charged it once, then drained it and charged a second time as recommended. It's a little tighter going into the camera than the OEM model, but not difficult. Using it on a 1d mark IIn at an event I shot non-stop for 4 hours with studio lights and a wireless trigger in the hot shoe. The camera still shows the battery as full. That's on par with the OEM model. I'll have to see how it holds up 6 months from now. At least it comes with a 3 year warranty.

Bought for Canon 1D Mark IIn, to go with one OEM battery. I debated between going with Canon's battery or aftermarket. It is not usually in me to go the aftermarket route. This time, due to huge price difference, I decided to study hard to see which way to go. Lenmar NP-E3's had better reviews than the rest of the aftermarkets, especially in the way the weathersealing and fit are both as good as the Canon's. Mine certainly is. It is a perfect fit. I'm still on my first charge, after initial charge/drain/charge prep, and have taken about 700-800 pictures. Still shows full.

Great fit and finish along with the weathersealing. Won't hesitate to buy another.

I ordered 2 of these for less money (including shipping) than 1 Canon battery pack (without shipping).

So far I've not had any continuing problems. One of the two had a very minor problem initially in that the release button next to the latch was jammed making it difficult to insert into the camera. Once I realized what the problem was and corrected it there were no further problems.

The rubber weather seal, while not as good as a Canon original, is much better than the seal on other third party packs I've had in the past and appears to be adequate to prevent moisture from entering. For some this might be an issue but since I don't shoot outdoors in severe weather it's a non-issue for me.

My only 'complaint' is these battery packs do not come with a protective end cap like the Canon OEM units have - not a big deal.

Time will tell how long these last before needing to be replaced, but at the price I paid even if they only last half as long as an OEM battery pack I'm still money ahead.
