I have had this item for 2 weeks now. I am very happy with the purchase!

I have an HP Pavilion DV4500 laptop (DV4000 series). The stock battery from HP is about 4 years old and it used to give me around 2hrs15mins to 2hrs30mins of continuous use. Now it can't hold the charge for more than 20 mins and it was getting really annoying that I have to keep it plugged in to get some work done.

This Lenmar battery is more powerful than the stock HP battery and so far it is giving me over 4hrs30mins of continuous use. The price was very reasonable compared to the other replacement batteries. I received the shipment within few 4 days.

I only negative thing about this battery is the shape of it. Its bigger (thicker) than the original battery so after it fits in the battery compartment, the bottom of the battery sticks out. I found it annoying initially as the back-end of the laptop stays elevated when placed on a flat surface. In any case, I got used to it after adjusting my screen accordingly. I give this item 5 stars!

Already reviewed the seller...in short, the item shipped was NOT a Lenmar battery, but something called a McVolt. That explained the low price...the battery I got works okay, but not 3-4 hours per charge as one might expect. More like two if you're not running anything taxing.

**Follow-up: This battery sucked. 7 months old and it won't hold a charge, period.

bought as a replacement for my five year old hp dv1000 series laptop. works like a charm and no issues thus far. purchase to receive time much shorter than i anticipated (3 days) with no extra charge.

I loved this battery for the first couple of months after I got it. I could use my laptop for almost 4 hours on it. But within 6 months, it was down to 45 minutes and then by 7 months, it would not hold a charge at all. My kid accidentally unplugs it and it shuts down. The original battery even after 2 years, would still give me a couple of minutes after it got unplugged. This battery is not worth it to me as it just does not last.

a friend told me about amazon so i tried and bought this battery for my laptopit is of a little different design from the original but fits and works fine

The product arrived quickly. Packaging was a joke - the battery was sort of taped to some bubble wrap and tossed in a box. It arrived unharmed, though. There are no brand markings whatsoever, so no way to know what I have. I bought this because the OEM battery barely operates for more than 30 minutes and a similar replacement battery is completely dead. This battery seems to keep my notebook running for a couple of hours at least. I have not tried it for any extended use.

The battery works well. Holds up to its standard and to the standard of HP. Makes you want to hold on the the HP Pavilion - a 2005 purchase (another great buy).

Got it like 2 days after ordering(great!). Gave it 2 recharge cycles and got 3:50hr while beating it up(updates, virus scan, LCD on, WiFi on). Couldn't be happier!
The old stock HP batt got less than 1hr. It does stick out from the bottom and raises the rear of the laptop up bout 3/4" but to me, well worth it to get 4hrs of normal usage from a real laptop.

I have had this battery for about 2 months and am impressed with the duration of its charge. I can work on battery power much longer than with the original battery. So far no problems, but then again it has only been 2 months. So far so good.
