I liked this charger so much that I ended up ordering a second unit. Premium solid performance in addition to 3 years warranty! I called Lenmar company since the fan on the second charger did not work out of the box but guess what, they sent me another charger without hussle! The call took about 2 minute and the replacement part was already on its way, they definetly stand by and back up their warranty. No problems with the second unit and If I ever need another one I would still buy a lenmar. The two middle charging slots supposed to work only on lenmar PPRO-H batteries, one can use the slot number 1 and 4 for regular NiMH batteries, it charges regular high capacity batteries to an 80% level in less than 15 minutes, and the other PPRO-H batteries in about 7-8 minutes. I didn't notice difference between my rechargeable energizer batteries and the the PPRO-H batteries, but the PPRO-H kind are more durable. This charger is the best in its category because it support worldwide voltage 110-240 V and the first to use NeoTherm® charging technology! it's solid and heavy duty charger, not like the cheap kind that are everywhere. I went through lots of sony chargers but you know what? They will never see my money again! the sony chargers are crappy and fry a lot, I have been using the MSC815 since October 2005 almost daily and never once I had an issue with it!

I use AA/AAA NiMH batteries for all my electronics such as my digital camera, MP3 player, flashlights, etc. I am constantly recharging batteries and this charger works fast! The batteries only get slightly warmer as compared with my old chargers, but charge in about a third of the time.

I highly recommend this product.

Charger looks well-made and seems to work fine. Fan is much quieter than on my old 15-min charger. Old one I had to plug in in another room, this one you can barely hear.

Batteries not get as warm as they used to in the old charger.

One thing I don't like is that power supply is a separate "brick"

If you need the ability to recharge 4 AA batteries quickly this is the unit for you. We have tried other brands and they just are not as dependable as this one. It consistently cranks out 4 recharged batteries in 15 minutes!

First, I am on my second unit. The first one died within the Amazon.com replacement period and they replaced it without any questions. That is the wonderful thing about Amazon.com!! The first unit fried a few of my rechargable batteries and then it went up in smoke itself, literally. One day there was a puff of smoke, that terrible electrical burning smell and RIP. The second unit has been working well for the past 2 weeks.

Junk. Burned out after using it twice.
It charged my non-Lenmar batteries in 9 minutes instead of 15 and was noisy. I called Lenmar because I thought there might be a problem. Lenmar had no clue that it was defective.
The seller was Adorama who was very responsive and returned my money, including shipping.

I have been using the Mack 1 Charger for about one month. My family has two digital camera's and several of other electronics that use AA or AAA batteries. I do recommend a high quality battery. The batteries that come with the charger are pretty good, but for digital camera's, I suggest even higher quality. I don't know if it is the battery or charger, but after charging, the batteries regester only about 80% full.

Also, you cannot use all four ports for charging just any rechargeable battery. The middle two ports charge the batteries that come with the charger and the two outside ports can be used for other rechargeable batteries. This isn't that big of a deal to me though.

I do recommend this product. It will save me loads of money in disposable batteries.
