I ordered this item against my better judgement considering all the negative reviews. Unfortunately, my faith was not rewarded. The unit I received would not hold a charge, so I returned it. I thought about playing the return for replacement lottery until I got a working unit, but decided poor initial quality had a high likelihood of translating into poor lifetime quality. Sad, this looks great in concept.

The unit overheated after a minute when connected to my laptop. Once it shut down and cooled off, it turned on again for another minute. It kept doing this over and over. Useless and had to return it for a refund.

This would be a great product if it worked. It did not work for me. I charged it once. It discharged without being connected to a load. I could not charge it again. Now it is completely dead.

Ordered this from amazon to use with a phone, laptop, and netbook. Unfortunately, Lenmar doesn't offer a tip to work with my Asus netbook. It is difficult to understand (before purchase) exactly what laptops the included tips work with because the lenmar website data is so old. Lenmar claims the ppu1619 "Charges or Powers virtually all laptop computers". Don't count on it.

This charger looked like it would work with my iphone and my dell m1330 laptop, but this ppu1619 was defective out of the box. The lenmar battery seems to charge ok, but the charge dissipates over an hour or so when not in use, so you can't charge this and then take it with you to use a few hours or days later. I reported problem to lenmar, got an email back in a couple days to send in for warranty repair. I have shipped back to lenmar (AT MY COST) to be repaired, even though it has never worked. I received a new (in retail pkging)replacement after 4 weeks, which seems to work ok. NOTE: If you own this item over 90 days, you have to pay an additional fee of $10 to get a warranty repair.

The item has not worked since the day it was unpacked. I contacted the manufacturer but that has been a waste of time. The dont't reply. In my opinion, this company is not worth looking at for products.

BEST Advice is although this product is compatible with 8 different tips - you need to know if your laptop is one of them. I am using an Inspriron E1705 and it was NOT on the list, however the other similar models were - I used the #61 tip as mentioned and it worked beautifully with my laptop. and check to see if your device is listed or close first - My dell is very finicky that it needs a 120 watt power supply. The supplies at the 120 watt level do a little "wink" on the power line to tell the laptop they are the max power supplies. If I don't get that "wink" then the laptop thinks it is only getting 65 watts even if the supply is capable of 130 watts. This battery knows when to wink at the dell laptop and make it feel happy and run properly.

You get a battery pack with 5 LEDs to tell you charge state, outputs for USB devices as well as your laptop, and it charges from your laptop's power supply so you don't need another charger to carry around. All together a good deal at half the price of a new battery for my laptop and more versitile if I use more than one laptop.

I'm very impressed with the Li-Ion quality construction, the fuel guage, and the flexibility of this device. I am considering buying a second one because for the MaH you get, the price is definitely right!

And finally when you upgrade laptops, you can take your battery with you to the new one and not be stuck looking for their oddball battery again.

My Dell 1505 does not show that it recognizes it as a power source but it works just the same. Lasts about an hour and a half if watching movies.

The battery is a very good deal if you have a small laptop (i.e., the laptop's battery is of 30 Wh). It can last for up to 3 hours if you have a netbook (such as acer aspire one). You have to be VERY careful with the voltage setting however (since it's manual) AND with the specs on your laptop's charger. If your laptop uses 19V @ > 4 Amps, DO NOT buy - it simply won't work. I tried it on my 100 Watt laptop and it did not start.

I ordered this battery from Amazon and it arrived DOA, missing the cable and half the power tips. So, I contacted Amazon and they promptly shipped a replacement. Battery #2 arrived, I couldn't wait to charge and test it - too bad it was DOA as well!!

Both batteries have been thoroughly tested - using four different laptop chargers (all supposedly compatible) and the batteries simply will not take a charge. I even contacted the manufacturer and the QC manager agreed something was wrong with both batteries and apologized but that doesn't change the fact that I've got two dead batteries in my hands.

On the plus side - Amazon's return/exchange process has been a breeze, and I'm about to get to test it for the second time on one product...

This product was great! It made my plane ride go so much faster. I was able to run my laptop the whole time, and it made time go by. The only downside was trying to figure out what adapter worked with my charger and laptop. It's nice that they give you so many, but I recommend that you mark the ones that work.
