Finally there were batteries they would last longer in high drain devices and you could recharge it over and over – no more going through 100s of batteries. There was, however one flaw in the design: NiMH batteries could not hold their charge for a long period of time. Out the package, the batteries needed to be charged and if you left them in your drawer for over a month, you would need to recharge them again before use. For this reason, many people still kept alkaline batteries around for emergencies and just plain convenience. Lenmar R2G batteries combine the best of both worlds! They are “Ready to Go” out of the package and have a shelf life of over 1 year. This means once you charge them up, they can sit in your drawer or device for a year and not lose their charge.
