Even though the album itself is a great find, what attracted me to it first was discovering the collaboration with Chaka Khan, which I had heard on the radio. If you like stylish, intelligent, rhythmic, superb, fantastic, moving, why-does-this-have-to-end? music, sung by a voice as moving and powerful as Ella Fitzgerald's was, the song "Who Do You Love?" should have been a World-wide Number One, what with all the rubbish regurgitated these days. Mediocrity reigns worldwide. Just look at d-u-b-y-a-l-a-n-d. Chaka For President! (with Janet as Vice
Pres.) Buy this! Now! The rest of the album, for me, doesn't, and can't live up to the opening track. Not many could.....however, they are worthy companions. |
