The battery works well- no issues locking it in or having it function and charge just fine. The message saying it is not a lenovo product is unobtrusive. It charges up and seems to be able to run for four hours (depeninding on tasks).

I read another review saying they received an off-brand battery. But the description listed it as Levono, so I took the chance. The battery that came was a genuine Lenovo in a sealed Lenovo box. It is still charging, but there are certainly not any messages about the battery and it seems to be working great.
