Lenox adds a modern classic to its platinum-banded, fine bone china collection with Apropos, introduced in 2005. The distinguishing feature of the collection is a subtle white-on-white ripple design that adds a visually and tactilely intriguing texture to the borders. A band of the same frosted matte ripples transcribes the center of this tall, graceful coffeepot. Lustrous platinum trims the coffeepot's domed top, handle, foot, and center for a very elegant effect.

To create a coordinated serving ensemble for after-dinner coffee or a formal tea, the coffeepot is designed with the same shapely curves and ripples as the Apropos sugar bowl and creamer, available separately. To avoid sudden temperature changes, the china pot should be pre-warmed with hot tap water, then filled with fresh brewed coffee just before serving. More durable than most people realize, bone china is chip-resistant and dishwasher-safe; however, because platinum softens at high temperatures, washing by hand or using an air drying cycle is recommended.
