I got this as a gift. I wanted a serving bowl enough for 4 people that I could set on the table. This bowl is HUGE. Its the type of bowl you'd bring to a party with an antipasto salad inside. I don't make that much pasta for our family of four, so I am disappointed in the size. Other than that it is a beautiful set. Just make sure you have big eaters in your house or you go to a lot of parties...then you will love this set.
