If you like a more classical pattern with some sweet updates, this is a good style. The scalloped edges are lovely. They are sturdy too. I have 3 boys and none have broken yet and they actually like the botanical images and all the insects (ladybug, bee, butterfly)on the plates.

I love all the butterfly meadow series. At the store they banged one against a table and it didn't break (don't try at home). The pasta bowls are lovely (as the mama, I love that) and durable (important when you have boys).

They look beautiful and prettier than I expected. Each of them has the same pattern and has a little locust on it. Size is also perfect. They can be used not only as salad or pasta bowls, but also as curried or fried rice containers. Two more good reasons to buy this set are that it includes a large serving bowl(wonderful at this price), and as this set is for 6, it makes a perfect match with the 18 peice dinner set.

The pasta plates are great for soups and pasta. The china is sturdy, and it's not too big or too small. I think the bowl is just okay. It could be a little bigger.

What a disappointment! I had bought a wonderful butterfly meadow pasta set a year ago that included a 10" diameter, 4 1/2" tall serving bowl. I just bought a second set because I wanted another big serving bowl. What a disappointment when the new set arrived with a serving bowl only 3 1/2" tall. It is no longer large enough to hold enough pasta to serve the 6 accompanying individual pasta bowls, nor is it big enough for my salads! What a poor decision by Lenox!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love my salad and serving bowls! The Butterfly Meadow pattern is lovely. I imagined the serving bowl would be a little bigger though. Use almost every day. The first shipment's serving bowl had not been properly packed and was broken, but returning it was easy and by the time I had packaged up the broken shipment the new shipment had arrived. Despite the serving bowl being broken in shipping, the bowls seem to be pretty durable and have withstood several clunks and bumps in the sink and dishwasher loading without chipping or breaking. I would recommend.

I love these dishes! They are not only pretty, but useful for every day. The large bowl is great as a serving bowl for just about anything and the smaller bowls are perfect for individual soup, salad or pasta servings. They are also useful as vegetable serving bowls. I am so glad that I ordered this set. I ordered the 18 piece dinnerware set first, so these 2 sets go perfectly together. Both are great buys!
The only thing that disappointed me was that one of the small bowls came broken and that Amazon did not offer to replace the bowl. I did get money credited to my account, but now I am still short one bowl from the set.

Much to my disappoinment the large serving bowl, packaged on top in Lenox's retail box was in a dozen pieces! I couldn't exactly tell if it was large enough. I'm thinking that it would never hold enough to serve 6 of the bowls of pasta. However, it was certainly appropriate for taking the second helpings to the table after everyone was served hot off the stove. The serving bowl could be used for many other things.

The bowls are pretty and will double greatly for large salad bowls or other one dish foods with the main dish served over noodles/rice etc like Beef Stronganoff or Shrimp Creole.

My beef is how Lenox's retail box was only suitable for retail, store front use - not shipping. That box, not tightly secured in a larger box without a 'fragile' label resulted in the frustration and additional cost to all to return the item for the serving bowl arriving broken. This is not the first time the packing dept was lax in preparing a delicate item for shipping. Therefore, I deducted one star.

As an accompanyment to my other Butterfly Meadows, great. In fact, these pieces could stand alone as a set if you're serving a one dish meal. And, since the individual price for these bowls usually runs around $12, buying the set is the way to go. Amazon had the lowest price, shortly followed by Overstock.com with a similar price a few days later.

I highly recommend becoming a Prime Member at Amazon. I shop on-line quite a bit so paying once for shipping and then selecting from the thousands of items that qualify, I pay no more for shipping and can get two day delivery. Love it. That alone has made me an Amazon shopper. Think of it, for a flat fee, no shipping, no driving, no having to hit the stores with everyone else, and if I wait too long to buy a gift, 2-day delivery. Thanks Amazon. (Plus I rely heavily on the reviews for my comparison shopping. People tell it like it is.)

These dishes were shipped fast and well packed. They are indeed dishwasher and microwave safe and sturdy. My husband, who is very picky, is very pleased with craftsmanship and artistry of these pieces.

I just love these bowls! We use almost everyday, My husband likes his ice cream, so everynite he grabs this bowl to use..
