I couldn't resist getting just one of these bowls. It is just as pretty as I imagined. Be warned: because this bowl is porcelain, anything hot like soup will make the bowl too hot to handle unlike the Bodum rice and noodle bowls and the melamine bowls.

Is this frugal? no but I needed new bowls and the tactile experience has been superior to everything else I own
Would I have purchased this used at a cheaper price off of craigslist? no
Did I shop around for the best total price including the manufacturer's website? yes and so should you

Great product, and a great seller. This bowl is an interesting size when compared with others in the series, big enough and deep enough for cereal, fruit, and soup. I definitely recommend it.

I think these are a gorgeous compliment to the rest of the plates, bowls..etc. They are a perfect size for rice, soup, ice cream...anything~

These bowls are absolutely beautiful with the scalloped edges, lovely decorations and even a cute little bee decoration inside. They are nicely deep and hold a lot ~ so can be used for just about anything. Very fine quality indeed!! Another great deal from Amazon! Would make a wonderful gift too!! I am very pleased with my purchase with extremely fast and safe delivery!!

I do not use this as a rice bowl but I know it would be great as that. I use it as a soup bowl or even a chili bowl. Sometimes I use it as a serving bowl for smaller side dishes.

Not as big as I thought, but still good value at ten bucks.

I'm slightly sick of the fruit bowl but this rice bowl still has the best design of the entire Butterfly Meadow line. However, one of the bowls did show an inherent gray discoloration along the rim and I haven't tried to send it back to Lenox yet. It seems that there aren't enough attractive and affordable rice bowls so most people go to a Chinese supermarket and buy whatever is out there. This bowl is competitive with those offerings so I don't feel I overspent and the pricier alternatives on Amazon are not tempting when compared to this bowl.

Finely made, light weight and good looking shape and drawings. Fast Amazon delivery with good packing. I think its better then the pricy Royal Doultons. But could not find any sign as to where it is made.
