This Lenox piece holds an extremely large quantity of soup or casserole. It is microwave and oven proof to 350 degrees, so you can cook and serve in the same beautiful casserole/soup tureen. Handles are sturdy, but short, so they are hard to grip with a cloth pot holder, but easy to grip with bare hands. Because of this feature, you may decide to use this as a serving dish only. Good for a large group rather than due to large capacity. We are a family of 2, so we would prefer a smaller casserole from Lenox.

This casserole is very pretty. It has two different pictures on its 2 side (the photo is just showing one of them). It's very detailed and pretty. However, it's smaller than what I expected so be sure to check the size because you buy it. The cover is also very detailed and pretty. Made in Indonesia. I recommend it.

I bought this dish because I liked it, but I wasn't sure if I would use it because of it's size. (A 3-quart casserole dish is a bit much for the two of us). I have re-purposed it to use as a bun warmer, and now use it every time we have muffins, pancakes, rolls, etc. I have an electrical bun warmer that I stick in there to keep things warm; I simply unplug it and bring it to the table when ready. The dish is not insulated, but will still keep things warm for awhile. It would also make a pretty cookie jar. The artwork is stunning and it has nice details. I have yet to use it for casseroles, but am pleased to have it grace my table.

I originally purchased a lovely Villeroy & Boch covered casserole at [...] for an astounding price. Which turned out to be no bargain at all when it arrived in a thousand pieces, thanks to having been tossed into a box with absolutely no packing. I took my refund right over to Amazon, where I found this lovely covered casserole by Lenox which filled the bill for a wedding present I needed. It arrived packed in ample protective packaging, ensuring that what I bought I actually got in usuable condition. The casserole is very showy, and I'm sure it will be an essential part of the young couple's entertaining efforts for many years to come.

Purchased as a gift for my sister who had a large set of this pattern which she loves (all pieces ovenproof and dishwasherproof!) I noticed she didn't have a covered vegetable dish and asked her if they weren't available and she said they were just too expensive. So I was thrilled to find one on Amazon for half the price she expected to pay!

I received this Lenox casserole in a perfect condition, and in time. I ordered it as a gift and was very satisfied with the quality. And it's very very pretty.
