Bought this to compliment a service of 13, it's beautiful and is a timeless formal design for all of my holiday occasions, it ain't cheap, but it's as good as it gets. Some old fashioned things are still fashionable. Nice to have a formal setting on the special times and is always complimented as a magnificent setting. Plus it keeps the mashed potatoes hot with the cover....lol
