The Lenox PEEPS Chick and Bunny Salt & Pepper Set with Tray blends Lenox’s tradition for fine china with the nostalgia and glee provoked by the iconic marshmallow treats to charm dinner guests of all ages. The set’s two shakers replicate the classic PEEPS chick and the also popular PEEPS bunny in form and color. The 2-inch high chick disperses salt or pepper granules through three holes on the crown of its head, while the 3-inch high bunny shakes seasoning out of two holes on both of its long ears.
The shakers and the accompanying tray feature hand-painted, ivory fine china construction. A pattern of pink, yellow, and purple flowers populate the off-white tray. The tray is further embellished by its 24-carat gold rim and delicate gold handles for transporting the shakers and tray to and from the table. Additional 24-carat gold detailing lend dazzle to the eyes of both chick and bunny shakers, as well as the bunny’s button nose. On each shaker, a plug unscrews to allow easy salt or pepper filling. To clean the set, wash and dry by hand only. The PEEPS by Lenox collection includes several complimentary pieces that range from a PEEPS Bunny Tealight, a PEEPS Chick Egg Platter, and a PEEPS Easter Basket. Lenox offers a Breakage Replacement Plan upon product registration on their website to cover 50 percent of cost to replace the broken product. My daughter is a Peeps fan. Myself, I can take or leave them; no chocolate, afterall. When I saw these darling salt and pepper shakers, I knew she would love them for her Springtime table. They did not disappoint. Well-crafted and lovely, the Lenox quality shines through. The colors are perfect Peeps chick yellow and bunny pink with elegant gold details. They sit sweetly on a charming tray. And, they never go stale; they will make their annual appearance for years and, I hope, generations, to come.
