We've just purchase two 4-piece settings of Lenox Chirp as a wedding gift for an older couple. The birds make a nice reference to a couple settling down together. It is lovely and we wish we could afford more settings. We like this pattern because the individual plates and bowls can be used as accent serving pieces to dress up a plain everyday table setting and the mug is a practical shape and size. The pattern is just beautiful and the colors are very rich. The plates feel very solid when held, not as if they may break if handled roughly. There are many additional pieces, giving us more opportunity over the years to give individual serving or ornamental pieces as additional gifts. It's been a very popular pattern for Lenox, so we hope it won't be discontinued quickly. We did find that the linens that are available to go with the setting are of a fussy material, a little shiny and slick.

I purchased four Lenox Simply Fine Chirp 4-piece place settings and am enjoying them a lot! These are not fine china, but lovely everyday use dinnerware. The colors are lovely. What looks red in the picture is actually a coral color which matches the coral in my home perfectly. Amazon's price was the lowest, but not low enough for me to purchase eight or twelve place settings plus the serving pieces I would like to complete the set. I will probably purchase these items when the price comes down. Right now, Chirp is a hot item which keeps the price higher than it may really be worth.

My daughter in law picked this out for her wedding china. I think it is a super selection since it goes from dishwasher to oven to freezer. So practical. I purchased two for the shower and two more as a Christmas gift. Both arrived promptly and in perfect condition. Thank you Amazon.

I bought these dishes to replace the mixed pieces of white stoneware we've used for years as our every day china and I just love them! They are beautiful, with rich colors and wonderful artwork. I think the pattern will work for many decorating styles, from contemporary to traditional. We can use these dishes every day without being concerned that they are too delicate, and they are definitely nice enough when we have company for dinner as well. They fit easily into the dishwasher, which some dinnerware does not. I like the sizes of all the pieces. The bowls are large enough for my breakfast cereal or my husband's nightly ice cream snack. The mugs have a comfortable handle, better than some of the smaller china cups we've used. I am more than pleased with my choice of this dinnerware that is so pretty and yet so practical.
I checked a department store's price for the four piece place setting. On 11/22/2010 it was on sale for $99 from a regular price of $149 (plus tax which in my area is 9.9%). That compares to $66 per place setting at Amazon, no tax/free ship. ($88/place setting and 4 for 3 special.)

This was the easiest Christmas present I've ever purchased. The china setting link was e-mailed to me; I was already an Amazon member and, in a a matter of seconds-- well, maybe minutes, the deed was done.

And, it was something the receipient really wanted!

I'm not really sure why some people's reviews indicate that this isn't fine china. It actually is - it's bone china and is much more delicate than your everyday ceramic setting. I have a porcelain sink and I'm scared to death of dropping one of my Chirps in it! That said, it's a lovely set and is even prettier in person than online. I only wish the price would go down a bit. It's stupid-expensive, though I am aware I am the stupid one for paying it. ;)

The china came quickly. It was in perfect condition, and I am extremely pleased with Amazon and the purchase. I will buy from Amazon again.

What a great price for this place setting of china. Well made, yet delicate. Easy to mix and match, plus the dinner sized plates come in two different colors- white with red trim or white with turquoise trim. Lots of accessory pieces. My daughter selected this as her china because it is unique, and can be used to set a dressy table, casual table, or holiday table!

Beautiful, and not as delicate of most china. I can't wait to get the rest! Everything compliments each other perfectly. I would hand wash, this stuff is way to expensive to put in the dishwasher. (I don't know why you would do that with china anyways.)

Lenox did an amazing job with this set. They look so elegant, and so beautiful. Everyone who sees them absolutely LOVES them, and to top it all off you can still stick them in the dishwasher, microwave, and freezer. I love that I can have the beauty of china, but the conveniences of regular dishes. These were bought off of my registry, and I think they are the perfect price point for someone wanting to buy you a nice gift. Everyone has just fell in love with the Lenox chirp pattern. They loved it so much I even starting receiving items from the chirp line that I didn't put on my registry. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THESE!!!!!!!!
