I try to order from Amazon every chance I get, and actually own this item (previously purchased elsewhere). I wanted to buy it for my brother's birthday and although I read the previous warning review about it arriving broken, I had hoped that Amazon had improved it's packaging technique. Unfortunately, it hasn't when it comes to shipping glass items. I have never ever had a problem with Amazon and order a lot through them. This glass decanter was received broken in pieces, just as the previous review had warned. This is a great decanter, just don't order through Amazon. When I called customer service, the rep said, "Well, I can't guarantee the replacement won't come broken," so I said, "Then let's just do a refund." To which he replied, "Okay, you need to take it to the post office and ship it back." What a waste of postage and time.

Bought this for my step father who is a wine lover for Christmas, he loves the product and says the weight is sturdy and is easy to handle.

This was a gift for a friend and when she opened it up in front of everybody there were so many oooos and aaaaahs! It was a definite show stopper. (and it came in perfect condition!) :)!

bought it for a gift for my mom. we love it. it looks beautiful and is light. the only thing is the cover is heavy - but still worth buying. great deal

The cap on the decanter does not seat properly. It wobbles and sits crooked. The design of the body of the decanter is wonderful. It's the cap that destroys the beauty of this. It just looks CHEAP.

I totally agree with the loose stopper. I am very disappointed that lenox would make a product with this default. I am a lenox LOVER, and usually lenox products are flawless. This stopper is actually very irritating. On a good note, the decanter itself is lightweight because it is made from glass and not crystal. The look is stylish, so if you have company, just leave the stopper off because people will think you purchased a faulty item.

I took my chances and ordered this, hoping that it would not arrive broken. It was in perfect condition. Perhaps I got lucky. I love it and so do my guests. It's a most interesting decanter.

The item arrived broken and was a Christmas present, so that was disappointing, however Louie's gifts was quick to respond and asked that instead of my sending it back, to take a picture of the breakage and send it to them. They were out of the item, but once they received the picture, promptly ordered it to replace. Outstanding customer service and the decanter is is exquisitely beautiful.

I agree that the stopper is a loose fit; however, it did not detract from the beauty of the decanter. I've had many compliments on how unique it is.

This is a heavy piece of glass with a nice shape. The stopper is way too loose. Anything aromatic will leak odors.
