5.0 out of 5 stars Reidel quality at a fraction of the price!
I am wine snob/geek and know the difference that quality wine-specific stemware can make in the enjoyment of fine wine. These glasses match up with the best Riedels but you can buy. But here's the big difference: You can buy 8 Lennox classes for less than the cost of 2 comparable Reidels. It should be noted that just like Riedel, these glasses are made in Austria. We love...

2.0 out of 5 stars Awesome feeling but stems snap way too easily
Let me preface this by saying that these glasses are massive and feel awesome in your hand. I was so excited when they arrived and enjoyed drinking out of them tremendously. When I towel-dried the first glass, the long and thin stem snapped almost instantly and I was down to three glasses. I figured it must have been a fluke and used a new glass the second day. Being...

But here's the big difference: You can buy 8 Lennox classes for less than the cost of 2 comparable Reidels. It should be noted that just like Riedel, these glasses are made in Austria. We love drinking wine in these glasses, our friends love drinking wine in these glasses and you will love drinking wine in these glasses too.

One caution: I sure would like to know more about the "lifetime warranty" mentioned in the Amazon.com description, as nothing came with the glasses on this. However, this is not the first time that I have been milead by Amazon.com on warranty issues.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exceeded expectations, October 16, 2003

These glasses will 'wow' you right out of the box. I came back and ordered more. These glasses are the type you want to grab first if you ever have company over as their stature is gorgeous and the weight is nice in your hand. As to the question about the warranty, look for a little index card in the box. Basically, if you ever break one, Lenox will send you a new one for 1/2 of retail plus shipping.

Being extra careful, I washed and dried this one successfully. During hand-washing the glass the third day it broke. Just as the first glass, the center of the long stem is simply too thin. Any kind of torque applied during washing or drying by hand will break the glass. Now the remaining two glasses are sitting on my shelf collecting dust. For me, this purchase was a complete waste of money. Maybe if you machine wash them you'd be okay. I hand wash and dry my Waterford wine glass every night without problems. I really liked the longer stem and goblet shape of the Lenox glasses but I'm two for two in breaking them.

These were a gift, and my sister found them a bit too large for her purposes. Otherwise, they're quite marvellous.

5.0 out of 5 stars Red wine Classic...best buy, November 16, 2008
This review is from: Lenox Tuscany Classics Grand Bordeaux, Set of 4 (Kitchen)
If you want a great looking, very useful wine glass; this is it.
Fine lines, thin crystal and the price is great. I was so used to spending at least $100 per stem on fine crystal, these are $10 each and believe it or not, if you register them with Lenox, I am told they have a replacement guarantee...Unbelievable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fine quality glasses, January 20, 2008
This review is from: Lenox Tuscany Classics Grand Bordeaux, Set of 4 (Kitchen)
These glasses are beautiful! If you like the big glasses they give you in the fancy restaurants when you order red wine, you'll love these. People who come over always comment on how the like the wine glasses. I prefer these to the other name brands out there. Be advised they are very tall and wide (in case storage is an issue). The only con for me is that you have to hand wash them. My husband and I love them so much we hand wash them rather than use a different glass we could throw in the dish washer.

Bought 3 sets (of 4) of the grand bordeaux glasses. These are great. They feel nice and they are a good size. I went to a department store and handled all of the comparable glasses from a few different manufacturers. These felt the best for the money. I'm sure the top of the line riedels would be better with a much larger price tag. For the money, these are great glasses. The return policy for broken glasses is nice. It won't save you much money but it would be nice to simply return one when it breaks instead of buying 4 brand new ones.
