In my first apartment I had all kinds of ants and crawling insects in my kitchen two days after plugging the device in,they were totally gone,and stayed that way.

When I moved into a new house, I had carpenter ants with big piles of sand around the doors. I plugged in the device and they were gone.Again it takes two days.
In my limited experience it doesn't seem to work against roaches,and I don't know which setting I prefer but It does a great job against the crawling and flying insects that would have been an overwhelming problem,since I live right up against a wild nature preserve in Florida.I am buying an additional unit for another part of this 4 bedroom house.

Despite the manufactures claims this unit makes noise. It has two frequency levels, super high for flying insects and lower for mice. I had it running for a few days in my kitchen on the lower setting. My house is having foundation repair right now so is somewhat open to the elements around the basement. I wanted to keep mice setting up home this fall.

One day I had a friend over for diner. Within a few hours of being over, she came down with a headache. Just a mild one, but enough to make her comment about it. Later as she came into the kitchen to see what I was doing, she asked me what that high pitched sound was. I figured she had seen the box for the PestContro machine and was pulling my leg - but she hadn't. I went over to the box and set it to its highest frequency and she could no longer hear it, but whenever I put it into the lower setting, she would wince with pain. I noticed that I could hear a faint static noise coming from the machine when it was set to the lower frequency too, but nothing like what my friend could hear. I unplugged the device. Within an hour her headache had gone away. I'm returning my PestContro machine.

I bought the Pestcontrol Deluxe in hopes of ridding my home of squirrels that had moved into the space between floors and between the walls. I was afraid they would chew through something important and their noise drove me crazy. I plugged the Pestcontrol device in and the squirrels were gone in 24 hours. The next day, after I was certain they were gone, I covered the hole where they had entered. They have not returned to my house. They just glare at me from the yard. The device did not bother my house cats (nor me) at all.
A friend borrowed the device to get rid of mice. The mice left that day.
I recommend this product to anyone. I was VERY pleased.

Lentek advertises that this product can be affective on bugs, rats and squirrels on their website. When you receive the product it only mentions bugs and rats in the documentation. After setting this product on all settings for 2 weeks each, our squirrels, in the attic, have remained...

Have bought 6 of them for rodent control in 5 locations. In one house, noise from rats or squirrels had kept both adults awake the night before - they have not heard a sound since. I have two PestContros in my house where we have rats and many squirrels. We have not heard any since PestContros installed and don't remember even seeing squirrels on the roof outside or in their favorite little tree by the house. Our total evaluation time since the first PestContro is just over a month and the last three have not arrived yet so the above comments are early and only represent two houses. However, we expect good rodent results in the other three where rats and squirrels are known to be living. We like the night light feature too. Had to return one PestContro when it developed a 60HZ hum but got a quick replacement. Can't comment on bug control fairly - we have not seen any but we have a bug contract and usually don't see many.

This is the best product ever! I am buying one for my parent's this time around. I bought one for my place in Florida and within a month--we were bug free! That's quite a feat in Florida! I reccommend buying two in you live in a motor home. Put one in your main living area and another in your kitchen or bedroom. You will be very pleased with this product!

Avoid this product. The claims and reviews prompted me to purchase it, but I soon found out they were greatly exaggerated. We developed an ant problem this summer, along with the rest of the neighborhood. Wanting to avoid chemical pesticides in the house I purchased the Pestcontro Deluxe. The instructions conveniently state that you can expect a "flushing out period", in other words - you can expect heavier than normal ant activity once you start using their product. Well, the flushing out period indeed did occur, unfortunately though it never ended. I gave the product nearly 1 month to work before I had to return it to Amazon within the 1 month period. On top of that, my wife and I started experiencing headaches which coincided with the use of the Pestcontro Deluxe - not good.

I did end up getting rid of the ants - the old fashioned way. I used Max Attrax ant bait inside the house followed up by spraying insecticide with a pressure sprayer outside the house. The ant bait works great - within 1-2 days there was zero ant activity where earlier there was heavy activity (thanks to the Pestcontro!). I literally could not find one single ant on my entire property for a week (outside as well!), and nearly a month later my house is still ant-free.

Save yourself the hassle and headaches (literally), do not buy the Pestcontro Deluxe. You can do what I did for a fraction of the cost.

We have had this hunk of plastic & flashing lights plugged in in our home for many months now, trying different settings to see if it would make a difference. There is absolutely no reduction in any of the pests from last year. I have seen spiders as close as a foot from it. I am the laughing stock of my family for paying good money for it! And I'm usually so careful about these too-good-to-be-true products. This one made a fool out of me.

After reading all the glowing reviews about how good this product is, I decided to give it a try. My apartment had been teeming with roaches and I wanted to try a hassle-free way of ridding them. This product does NOT work. Short and simple. This device is supposed to repel roaches but I see roaches crawling all over it. I have tried all combinations of settings available on the device (high, low, continuous, variable, random, etc) but still no luck. Save yourself some frustrations (and money) by buying a can of bug spray or a box of roach motel!

We have had one of these since we moved into our house 3.5 years ago. It hasn't worked for rats, is ineffective on bees, but seems to very effectively keep out ants (our detached garage is teeming with them, we have only seen the occaisional ant in the house--unusual for LA), and has gradually lowered our spider population. I think it is best at keeping pests away, not as a solution for an established colony of your-favorite-pest. It does make noise on the lower frequency settings, but on high, it is undetectable. I would recommend it, just be realistic about your expectations.
