Classic bomb!,

If you like your cheese nice and moldy, try Bill Cosby's Leonard Part 6. Never has riding ostriches and evil vegetarian supervillianesses been so howlingly bad! So bad, Bill Cosby denounced it before it was released -- then went on to make Ghost Dad.
Oy.

The worst movie ever,
By
This review is from: Leonard Part 6 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I have not watched this movie since going to the theater in 1987 to see it. To this day when I hear mention of a bad movie, I always ask, "Have you seen Leonard Part 6"? More times than not, the fortunate souls say "no". Those unlucky few of us who have suffered the brain nummbing 90 minutes of our lives will never recoup that time. I am writing this as a service to anyone who feels that comedy should be funny and not so stupid that you laugh at the idea that someone paid to see it before you realize that you just paid to see it. This movie has got to be in the running for worst theatrical release ever. I'd rather watch a 5 mile snail race than subject myself to this mistreatment again. I am a Cosby fan and I love his work in other shows, but, this one proves that no matter how good an actor you are, you're not immune to something that flat out sucks.

The classic, horrible movie.,

Leonard Pt. 6 is one of the single worst movies I have ever seen. That is what makes it so great. Low budget cable TV stations would probably choose to go off air instead of showing this garbage. But for some reason, I still enjoy watching this movie. For the balance between trash and enjoyment, I give it 3/5 stars.

Even worse than parts 1-5!!!!!...!,
This review is from: Leonard, Part 6 (DVD)
Haha. That's just a joke. There is only part 6. That was supposed to be a joke too. Now you don't know about this movie because there was actually a cover-up initiated by The Cos himself because he was so embarrassed about it!
After you sit through the painful, hand drawn credit-sequence you get to watch the only part of the film worth watching! This is extremely handy because you now no longer have to watch the rest of the movie. They were nice enough to put the funniest parts of the film, spliced together at the beginning of the film for us! In a split second we see: a tank car soaring through the air, Cos in a spacesuit dancing ballet w/ pink ballet slippers, and Cos in a janitor's uniform riding an ostrich through a roaring ball o' fire!!! By the time this sequence is over you will be rolling on the floor laughing, struggling to keep your head so you don't miss the rest of this hilarious film. But you wait and wait. That's it, that was the only part of the film worth watching. You will get to see these scenes again, but what's the point? You've already seen them and in context they aren't even half as funny. This movie is supposed to be the Cosby Show meets James Bond. The plot involves some animal rights terrorists and the Cos has to stop them. Along the way he has probs with his wife and daughter which eventually get solved in the end. It's supposed to be a comedy, but the jokes are lame and unoriginal and struggle too hard to be funny, not unlike Michael Richards after a long day at the Laugh Factory. Only you won't get an insincere apology from this turkey. The most painful part of this movie is seeing the wonderful and talented Bill Cosby being raped of all respect from this shameless failure in cinema. I can't let the Cos off too easy though. He COULD have livened things up. He COULD have at least made a Jell-o pudding pop joke. When all is said and done we cannot let Cos escape this miserable failure. He must atone for his sins. Reporters, ask him about this movie at EVERY opportunity. Fans, during his live appearances shout "Free Leonard!...Part 6!" Presidents of global imperial powers, detain Cos for questioning, water board him until he admits that he made this miserable failure. Force him to pay reparations for what this movie has done!

This is the WORST Movie I've ever seen in my life,

However, it is hilarious and I love it. It makes absolutely no sense at all and that's why it works. The reason why it works is it doesn't take itself too seriously (An ostrich in ballet slippers?) so it's easy to let yourself enjoy it. A true guilty pleasure.I do have one question. Are there really parts 1-5 or is this an urban legend?

Stupid stupid movie
You can enjoy it in a brainless sort of way And whats with the ending, them putting food on poor Bill Cosby To his credit, Bill advised people against seeing it Just dumb.. Heres a list: man blowing up after eating a hotdog (WTF?!) fish stopping to look at porn Just a terrible all around film. Probably very entertaining if you bring some friends around though!

My fiance and I are huge Cosby fans, so we knew we would love Leonard Pt 6. Boy were we wrong! We both like stupid movies a lot, ie-Napoleon Dynamite, Naked Gun, etc. but this was just too much. Scaring off attacking lobsters with melted butter is where I draw the line from stupid-funny to just plain stupid. Definately not one of Cosby's better moments. Definately rent before you buy!

It's a pity we live in a world where a tawdry piece of film making like The Return of Captain Invincible (starring Alan Arkin) can get a fine DVD release and Leonard Part 6 sits on dusty shelves on VHS.Release the masters! Let's get this baby out on a Special Edition Release! Critereon are you *LISTENING* - !?! I, Brandon Douglas-Sterling Hatch, am the CHARTER MEMBER of the Let's Get Leonard Part 6 Out On DVD Club! This movie is pure, unadulterated, cinematic genius. Bill Cosby's best work. I mean... I was sold the minute I saw the porn-perusing killer tuna!

Worst movie i've ever seen!,

This review is from: Leonard, Part 6 (DVD)
Former CIA agent Leonard Parker (Bill Cosby) was retired 7 years ago as he's a owner of a successful restraunt and rich as hell. He lost his wife (Pat Colbert)as he wants everything to get her back and his sexy stripper daughter is getting married to a black Italian named Georgio (Moses Gun) yet he won't allow it as life is hard as it is. Evil vegetarian villainess named Medusa (Gloria Foster) who has an army of killer animals she uses to control with a special device to take over the world, Leonard is called forth to action again by an old friend Synderburn (Joe Don Baker) and with the help of a gibberish talking Gypsy (Carol Kane) who gives him supplies such as armpit missles, magic sparkling meat, ballet slippets, Alka-Selzter and more to ward off Medusa and her vegetarian warriors and try to save the world. A truly painful load of cinematic toxic waste this movie is! Bill Cosby had success in the 80's/early 90's with his "The Cosby Show" and is one of the most beloved comedians of all time. This is his ulimate low-point as it was a film he wrote he in 85 then filming started from december 1986 till early 1987 for a december 1987 release but Cosby regret making this movie as he knew the film was terrible. In fact he warned audiences on talk-shows and on TV to stay away from this movie to save their money on something else, i'm glad he did denounced this movie and disowned it. I can't believe he sunk low with such garbage like this one as this movie makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. This movie is a true megabomb in the sense of the word as this movie tries to be "comedy" when it's totally unfunny and the script is that like a second grader wrote it and the acting/direction is totally bad as ever. I remembered when i was 6 back in early 1988 i rented this disaster and thought it was dumb as hell as i always remember that scene where the gay eye-browless baddie who works for Medusa eats that magic hot-dog then his head blows up into crushed cheetos. Although Elmer Bernstein did a decent score but it's not enough to save this steaming heap of dung. The old saying is that you can't polish a turd but the DVD looks decent as is the sound with zero extras.

Classic comedy at its finest!,
By Eric Sedgwick (Worcester, MA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Leonard Part 6 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Leonard Part 6 is nothing short of brilliant. It is the perfect showcase for Billy Cosby's impeccable comic timing, and it also features several other Oscar-caliber performances in a script worthy of Moliere. This film brings to light several important topics of our time - vegeterianism, marital dysfunction and animal protection to name a few - without ever seeming preachy. It will keep you pondering these subjects for weeks. Complete with real belly laughs and serious overtones, Leonard Part 6 takes its place alongside Bringing Up Baby and Charlie Chaplin's Modern Times as one of the preeminent film comedies of the century.
