Looking forward to a book on Leonardo's science, I was quite disappointed. There is a wealth of detail about Leonardo and his places of work. There is quite a deal of conjecture about his patronage. But, very little (I did stop 1/2 way through) about his science.

In fact there seems more print space devoted to his homosexuality.

Not a book I'd go back to.
