Historic Action Figure How do you tell a real superhero? It ain't because he has kung-fu moves, or looks good in tights. The historical giants in our superhero collection, reduced to 5" to 6" tall plastic figures, wear their contemporary dress. Thus confined, they're limited to moving limbs and heads, with some being more motile than others. These superheroes are actual historical figures, though, rather than Hollywood heroes. Leonardo also comes with a 4-1/4" easel, plus a little frame with (4) interchangeable masterpieces to display. All the figures include fascinating facts and short biographies on the back of the package.,Dwarf DaVinci doll. This little Leonardo is wearing his Renaissance dress--plus what look like sweat socks underneath. Move over Superman and Batman! Make way for Universal Man [Renaissance Man]: Leonardo Da Vinci, a real superhuman if there ever was one! Painter, inventor, scientist, forward-thinker, architect...Leo did all and very well! I love the concept of historical action figures, especially since young people today love figures so much. What also makes this product great is the information on the packaging, which contains an excellent collection of Da Vinci facts and deeds. Especially helpful is a list of his famous paintings, inventions, and quotes.
I showed this item to a college Humanities class when were were studying key figures in Human History, and the class loved it! Everyone wanted to get his / her hands on the Da Vinci action figure and his accessories. The figure was indeed a class hit that will be remembered for years to come. History is more meaningful when you can hold it in your hands and examine it yourself!

I bought this Leonardo action figure because I am an art teacher in an elementary school and our unit was on Leonardo da Vinci. One of my little students brought in a Leonardo action figure but would not let me use it (!) for the lesson and I just HAD TO HAVE ONE! I set up a little diorama of Leonardo in his studio, painting away at his famous Mona Lisa. At the end of the unit every student could name the artist and the painting, even the kindergarders!
