Book Description

If they give in to their desires a whole country will fall.

Calli Munro, soon-to-be-economics-professor, arrives in Vistaria during La Fiesta de la Luna, a combination of Mardi Gras and Carnival, and is arrested for violently resisting the amorous advances of strangers. She’s sprung from jail by a commanding civilian the Loyalist military refer to only as leopardo rojo. Calli is inexplicably drawn to him.

When Calli formally meets Nicolás Escobedo, the bastard half-brother of Vistaria’s president, she realizes she is in trouble for it is the mysterious leopardo rojo. Their attraction is powerful and mutual, despite everything they do to deny its existence.

Vistaria totters on the very brink of revolution and anarchy. It needs only a tiny nudge to tumble the country into the abyss of bloody war. Then the insurrectos learn that the President’s brother is having an affair with a hated Americano...

WARNING: This book contains frequent, explicit and frank sex scenes and sexual language. Don't proceed beyond this point if hot love scenes offend you.
No Vistarian Loyalists came to harm during the making of this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars What a Fantastic Read! April 20, 2013
By PATCHES
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I came across this free book , looked interesting, started reading and bed time passed me by.
Lets see what is this about? Well you have this woman who gets arrested basically as soon as she arrives in a foreign country. Hot guy gets her released. Dreams kick in oh did I mention x-rated dreams?! Woman and man run into each other a lot. Rebels are set to take over and they want the Americans gone. Woman and Man get to know each other. Ohh Ohh Woman's cousin falls in love with a military guy and then all kinds fun begins.

I was so not expecting to fall in love with another book, but damn that was until I read this one. I never wanted it to end. I immediate checked to see if there was another book in this series out. My luck not yet. Shakes head well I guess I wll read something else till the Author gets a move on!! (JK)! Well kinda!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent romantic suspense May 4, 2013

Tracy is one of my favorite romantic suspense authors. Ellora's Cave stories are erotic, but Tracy obviously knows it takes more than sex to make a great story. Personality, complex story line, and unique situations make Red Leopard a truly engaging and amazing romantic suspense.

4.0 out of 5 stars Full of Danger & Turmoil! November 19, 2005
By M. Nix
Format:Paperback
Vistaria is a country on the brink of rebellion. When Calli travels to the country to be with her cousin Minnie, she is almost immediately thrown into turmoil. Aside from helping Minnie stay out of trouble, which includes keeping an eye on her and her new beau Duardo, she falls head over heels for Nick. Known as the mysterious Red Leopard, it seems Nick has feelings for Calli as well. But there is too much at stake for Nick to be involved with Calli, as the Vistarians do not favor Americans. Nick would lose any power he has if he is seen with Calli, but their attraction cannot be denied either. The two couples are caught up in the melee as the rebels strike. They are desperate to escape the danger and stay together through it all.

The Red Leopard is a story full of danger and turmoil. The longing Nick and Calli have for each other is almost overwhelming. When they finally come together, it is hot and passionate. Nick and Calli's reunion after a brief separation is a scorchingly emotional scene. It's a very sweet moment. The plot is a little slow paced in the middle, but the last part of the story is exciting. I did, however, find the ending to be somewhat anticlimactic. There are a few plot points in which the reader is left hanging. Overall The Red Leopard is a good book. It captured my interest and I found it entertaining.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Read That Will Have You Glued To The Pages!!! September 11, 2004
Format:Paperback
This is the second book that I've read by Ms. Cooper-Posey and it was great! The characters, the setting, and even the storyline are unique and fun.

The chemistry between Calli and Nicolas is instant and it's hot, but Ms. Cooper-Posey manages to draw it out and as a result when our lovers finally get together it's beyond steaming. This is really a great story about two people who are greatly attracted to each other but can't be together because of a situation (in this case civil war for a very small country) that is beyond their control.

This story is very romantic and although this is a "romantica" story this is not a book with page after page of gratuitous sex scenes. Instead it's a story about strength and integrity, and yes, attraction.

Nicolas is the half-brother of the President of Vistaria. His country is on the brink of revolution and the last thing he needs is an instant and intense attraction to American Calli Munro. She is everything that he wants but can't have.

Callie on the other hand has just come to Vistation at the request of her uncle Josh. On her first night in town she finds herself in jail with nothing and no one and she is less then thrilled. Before she knows it she is being release after a rather intense interview with a red headed mystery man. The attraction she feels for him is more then anything that she has felt in a very long time, and when he is about to walk away she tries to hold on, but mystery man walks away with a hit of sadness in his eyes. She has no idea who her rescuer is and she can't get him out of her mind, even when she's asleep. Soon her world will collide with his and she will find out just who Nicolas really is. Even knowing she can't have him doesn't detract from their mutal attraction.

5.0 out of 5 stars Oh to have a love like Rojo! February 21, 2014
By Delapis
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Rather than just add another summary of this book, I'll just cut to the chase and give my thoughts on it.

When I first started reading, I wasn't sure I was going to like this book. In fact, I had considered deleting it from my IPad. I am so very glad I didn't do that! I decided to read further and give it a chance. Somewhere along the line, the authors words started speaking to me, and I was hooked.

I highly recommend this book. Tracy Cooper Posey has a wonderful way of bringing out all the emotions that come with a romantic love story, as well as showing the other emotions involved with real life events. She leaves you on edge during tense times, has you crying during sad times, and also smiling with tears of joy during the happy times. You are definitely on an emotional roller coaster, but it's one in which you want to stay on for the ride.

More About the Author

I have been writing and publishing romances since 1999 when I sold my first two books in the same week (after six years of flogging my work to editors who didn't recognize the staggering genius within). Many of the fifty-plus books I've released so far have been romantic suspense under my own name. I've also squeezed in the odd contemporary and historical romance or two. For a brief stint, I wrote paranormal and urban fantasy romances under the name Teal Ceagh - more on that below.

On March 8, 2011, I went indie. After thirty-five novels published with legacy publishers, I turned to self-publishing, and released the paranormal/urban fantasy romance, BLOOD KNOT, under my real name.

In the future, I will write a lot more paranormal romances (many of them vampire romances) and urban fantasy romances, and quite a few more romantic suspense novels.
______

Teal Ceagh was created in mid-2009 to allow me to write wildly different types of erotic romances for Ellora's Cave and market them without disrupting my already established readers there. Teal Ceagh wrote the hottest of MMF ménage paranormal romance and urban fantasies that Ellora's Cave have to offer, and that's a pretty extreme jump from the erotic MF romantic suspense I was writing then. I didn't want my established readers to get whiplash.

Lots of people ask about the name, Teal Ceagh.

Actually, it's still really my name. It's my intials: TLC. If you pronounce them, you're saying Teal Ceagh. "Ceagh" is pronounced "see" and it's Irish.

As of March 2011, both Teal Ceagh and Tracy retired from writing erotic paranormal and urban fantasy romances for Ellora's Cave, so Tracy can concentrate on Indie publishing.
____________________

When I tell people I've been writing since I was 14 they tend to look at me a little oddly, but it's quite true. I fell in love with Harrison Ford and Star Wars at the exact same moment, and wrote the unofficial sequel in the following year. Of course, I had Han Solo and Leia falling in love long before the sequel came along, and in much more satisfying fashion than George Lucas ever managed.

What I didn't realize at the time, and not for another twenty years or so, was that I had been writing fanfic, possibly the first of its kind.

On a completely off-topic side-note, I used to lie awake at night, listening to the Star Wars soundtrack on my record player, and re-playing the movie in my head, fantasizing about how wonderful it would be to somehow be able to play the movie at home, whenever I wanted. Eight years later I saw my first Beta cassette player. It was the size of a small suitcase and weighed 45 pounds. A few years after that I got to buy my first VHS movie-Star Wars. That was a reflective moment in my life.

However, while things have clearly changed over the years since my first bad attempt at getting a hero and heroine together on paper, two things have not. I'm still writing romances, and I'm still throwing my hero and heroine through a fair imitation of hell while they're sorting their feelings for each other out -- the essence of romantic suspense.

But hey, here's the boring stuff: I'm Australian, although I live in Canada. I still have the accent, although I've been here over a decade now. And I still have trouble remembering it's a hood, not a bonnet, and stuff like that -- you'd be amazed how hard-wired culture really is. It calcifies internally, I think. But the mountains here are stupendous, so I think I'll stick around. Besides, my husband is kinda cute. Oh yeah, did I forget to mention? I met him on the Internet back when it was a few HTML pages and a couple of bulletin boards or two, and me and the kids (three of us) packed up and moved here.

The kids are no longer really kids any more. They're both taller than me now, but I didn't say that aloud, okay? I'd still like them to think I'm the boss for a while longer, at least.
