About the Author

chichi layor is the daughter of award-winning Nigerian author Ifeoma Okoye, the late Mokwugo Okoye, also a well-known writer. Her first collection, Break Every Rule, was published in 1989 by Delta Press, Nigeria, and her poems have subsequently appeared in magazines and journals in Nigeria and the United States. She has written a weekly column for The Guardian, a national newspaper in Nigeria. She currently lives with her husband in England, where she works in the field of human rights.
