These shoes are way more comfortable than I expected - I am able to wear them without socks/tights. I have very sensitive heels, but the heel of the shoe is cushioned & they have caused me no problems. My only complaint is that whatever the black sole is made of marks the floor terribly.

Not knowing much about tap shoes, I would think that these would make fine, comfortable shoes. However, having purchased them to be used as organ shoes (sans the taps) they won't work because there is a non-skid area on the soul. So if you're looking for organ shoes, don't buy these.
