This review is from: Leporello (Hardcover)
William Palmer tells the captivating story of the adventures, travel, conquests, and demise of Don Giovanni. The interesting twist is that it is told from the perspective of his loyal servant, Leporello, who emulates his master, but understandably harbors a bit of jealousy. The story embodies a commendable mixture of unpredictability and inevitability. Leporello draws the reader into his tale by frequently stepping out of the story to provide his own commentary. The warm descriptions and unusual circumstances make Leporello a rewarding read.
