Emmanuel Moire is a French singer born in Le Mans on June 16th 1979. Between 2004 and 2007, he portrayed Louis XIV as a member of the cast in the successful musical Le Roi Soleil whose cast included Christophe Mae and Merwan Rim. Emmanuel Moire released his first solo album, titled L… O— Je Pars, on November 13, 2006. The first single was "Le Sourire". This his second album, titled L'equilibre was released in April 2009, and includes songs such as Adulte et Sexy and Sans dire un mot which have been made into music videos. I enjoyed my first trip to Paris last week and saw the ad for this CD on TV -- just the short part of the video provoked enough interest to buy it (even with the exchange rate, a bargain). Just one listen and I am hooked on this artist. My French in intermediate so I really have to read the words to catch most of it-- but his voice and the material is excellent. What a relief after suffering through an hour of the French "Idol" show and hearing nothing remotely talented! I'm now going to buy his earlier stuff and recommend that you grab at least this one!

Emmanuel Moire is a very enjoyable musician/chanteur and I very much enjoy La ou je pars; Lequillbre is one star less than his other more delightful CD. I enjoy listening to his other works and rarely listen to this CD because it does not flow as nicely from one song to the next - and each song standing alone does not rank as high as these songs from my five-star vote: Le sourire, Celui que J'etais, Je vis deux fois, etc.
