Written in the 40's by the relatively unknown team of Learner and Loewe, this score has it all... passionate love songs, great dances, comic lyrics and a style that captures the scotish sound and blends it with popular american style.
Performed in High Schools, community theatres, revived on Broadway and a successful Gene Kelley, Cyd Cherise movie... this is an enduring love story. The score is interesting and intricate... even in piano reduction. |
