The fifth season of The L Word was probably my second favorite aside from the first season. I loved Jenny's character in this season. She became even more outrageous but I thought she was funny and cute at the same time. The idea of watching them make her book into a movie was great! Because she finally got her book published and now having studios fighting over the rights to her movie...her spoiled girl act was my favorites of all. I don't want to give away any spoilers but I can't believe what Adele did! There's that saying: always watch out for the quiet ones and wow, is that true in this case. The only thing I didn't care for was having Marlie Matlin back in this season. For some reason, I thought she was leaving after the end of the fourth season. I miss Kristanna Loken, who played Shane's love interest in season 4. But Shane is Shane, as I noticed at the end of seasons 3, 4 and 5. But as a Jenny fan, I really liked this season. Even after watching a week's episode, I couldn't help watching the repeat of it, which was right after. Lot of good things were in this season but if you're a Jenny fan, I think you'll really love it!! Did I mention I liked Jenny?

I'm a huge Tibette fan!! I never seen any other actors/actresses who have the best chemistry on screen, like JB and LuH. So after all the drama, the heartache, FINALLY my favorite coupLe in the show are BACK TOGETHER! And hope this time it'll stick! Lots of Laughter this season which I Love! and much more Tibette's Love this season as well! I can't wait to own this DVD! Most importantly, can't wait for the new season, which sadly would be the Last one. I don't know what I'd do when the show ended, although there will be a spin-off, but still don't know which character. Love the L word! :)

The only "L Word" fans who could have enjoyed this season are the ones who jumped on the bandwagon with Season 5 being their first viewing, or fans who previously throught the show had too much weight and wanted to see just "more sex." Because that's all this season is. Sex. Normally on a soap opera this isn't the problem, but for those of us who watched the show for the characters, we have sorely missed them since the viewing of season 5. Nobody has learned anything from their past mistakes (Bette), many characters have suddenly regressed (Alice), and most have just completely lost the sense of who they were (Shane). When Chaiken said she was gonna start listening to the fans more, I think a few of us older fans had no idea that included demoting the show to nothing but fivalous eye candy promiscuity with such hokey and corny plots that they couldn't be saved by the few fun things that DID happen! None of the blame can befall the actors, however, who, as always, commit to everything with all they have, but as a viewer everything becomes redundant (the constant "will they or won't they" of tina and bette") and in many cases unbelivable and unrealistic (max's sudden urge to be with men). The show lost a lot of it's bite and dynamic after season 3, however season 4 had it's grace points and a lot of the characters had great storylines, this, sad to say, isn't so of season 5. And it makes me sad to think ANYONE would consider this the best season of "The L Word" yet. I will continue to watch just like one cannot tear their eyes away from a natural disaster, but I hope a show that I used to love will go out with better dignity than it's previous season.

After watching Season 5 and comparing it with other seasons, the storyline is still good and entertaining. However in this season I lack enthusiasm, emotional appeal - as if the emotional connection between the characters has weaked. I don't know if it depends on how the actors are directed or that the viewers is not drawn deeply enough into the lives, feelings and issues of the characters as in previous seasons.
In some of the episodes the storyline is abrupted, and the viewer just see the outcome but now how something happened (took place).
Overall L-word is worth watching and has a few funny episodes and scenes like the mud wrestling.

To anyone who is an L Word fan this was the season of all seasons! Jenny and her crazy movie, Shane and her shane-nanagins, Alice and Tasha, Helena as we've never seen her before, and of course, the reunion of Bette and Tina...ahhh! We met a whole new cast of characters from Lez Girls and of course, Dawn Denbo and lover Cindy!

From movie sets, to pot brownie parties, to hot elevator sex and a rousing game of "I Never" around a campfire, Season 5 is the season to own!!!

I love the Lword, but this season is a little shorter than i would have liked. I wonder what the 6th season will be like? Anyways, also i noticed that there was a mislabel in the episodes that were labeled on back of each disc (Ie the back would list 4 episodes and there were 3 on one), this then messed up the labeling of the rest of the discs. I guess this isn't a big deal, but it just annoyed me, that I paid for the season and the people who made the product didn't notice this glitch? Anyways, it's good, if you've been watching Lword then you'll likely NEED to get this for your collection. I just don't really like how some of the characters (like shane) have evolved... But oh well. If you like lword, get this.
