5.0 out of 5 stars Another Great One!
Here's another great one from the "Queen of Walk"! Even though I'm an experienced walker, this one still made me sweat and the time flies by! All the ladies in the video are over 40 too and they are able to keep up! I especially like that Leslie has a water break built into this routine, which most folks need on a 3 mile walk! My only suggestion would be to keep the...

3.0 out of 5 stars Love it!
I love this DVD and workout. After 3 weeks I have lost almost 2" in my hips, 1.5" in my waist and an 1.5" in each thigh. I do it faithfully every morning and feel so good for the rest of the day. The walk-belt is an awesome addition. I must add that I have also cut out junk food on my quest to get fit, and my body is already changing. Try this workout if you are a...

5.0 out of 5 stars More than expected, December 10, 2007
This review is from: Leslie Sansone: Walk at Home: Walk Away Your Waistline! (DVD)
This was an early Christmas present from my sister. I have never used any of the Walk at Home videos before. I didn't expect to even break a sweat, but I did. Leslie is fun and encouraging. You have the option to do 1, 2, or all 3 miles. It's gentle and easy to follow, but you do get your heart rate up. I really enjoyed it.

5.0 out of 5 stars 2 weeks, February 8, 2008
This review is from: Leslie Sansone: Walk at Home: Walk Away Your Waistline! (DVD)
In 2 weeks I have more energy and a waistline is forming. I walk with the belt and without. I started doing just a mile 2x day and now I'm up to 3 miles a day.I will increase 1 mile every week.(With this cd one can increase to 6 miles a day or more.) I am 57yr and 100 pds over weight. This program is not only for people who has only 10-15pd to loose, but for people like myself.

Try this workout if you are a busy mom like me and cannot get to the gym. I plan to try more of her dvd's. Also note...each mile flies by.

I am not a runner or an aerobic class person. I do not relish the thought of being with a group of people to show them my wiggly bits or to show that I have no rhythm, go left when they say right. This was a great dvd for me...easy to follow...I can keep up and I feel very good after doing the exercise. I know I wouldn't do the 4 or 5 mile walk so after doing this dvd I was glad I didn't get that one. I thought the price was great too--almost bought one from QVC for a heck of a lot more--go Amazon!

5.0 out of 5 stars Leslie has really improved over time, July 5, 2008
This review is from: Leslie Sansone: Walk at Home: Walk Away Your Waistline! (DVD)
I started walking years ago with Leslie's first set of videos Walk Away the Pounds. I loved the workout but found in frustrating that no one was sweating and it was obviously edited (even had credits at the end for hair and makeup). Well after falling off the workout wagon for a few years, I decided to get back on and see if Leslie had added to her workout options. HAS SHE EVER! This is a GREAT workout for beginners and experts alike. The DVD format allows you to do one, two, or three miles (so beginners can start with one mile and then go straight to the cool down). And it's not so "perfect." Everyone sweats, they break for towels and water, and some of the girls even mess up from time to time, which makes me feel better when I mess up myself. :-) This is a great way to start the day, break a sweat, and feel you've accomplished something. I highly recommend this!

My first Leslie walking tape. Health-wise, I am unable to do some exercises, but Leslie just walks. The Walk Belt is just great also!
For bigger girls, belt is only 47" around, I had to sew in extra webbing.
Tape really got me going the very first day.

5.0 out of 5 stars Seniors in Sweat, Sisters in Sweat - Wig Out!, June 8, 2009
This review is from: Leslie Sansone: Walk at Home: Walk Away Your Waistline! (DVD)
This is a terrific exercise DVD. This exciting program is a 45-minute, 3-mile walk set to the pace of five (5) miles an hour.

The opening menu states that you can choose a full workout, or you can choose to do a one-mile, do a two- mile or do a three-mile workout, but the menu is misleading. If you choose the "3 mile," you walk just one mile and that mile is set at a near-cool-down pace. If you choose the first file, "one mile" or "two mile," the second file, you still only do one mile each, respectively, and in the "two mile" set, it's a walk set at the fastest pace possible, with no warm-up at all. Thus, it's best just to do the full workout, which is a full 3 miles (but no more than 3) and forget about the other "choices." The whole work out definitely will make you sweat but all the while you will not injure, strain, exhaust or defeat yourself. You will get an invigorating workout experience.

What's particularly wonderful about this DVD is the music. A lot of it is reminiscent of the great gay period of high disco from the 1970s; in other moments, the music simply rocks, and sisters and seniors (or whoever else wants to join in)-- in sweat -- can wig out and get down as much as they please. The music is fast-paced, motivating, and wholly distracting so that not only do your limbs fly but time flies as well.

There are only women in this exercise program, and they each represent a certain body-type or age-type. All are inspiring, as is Leslie Sansone herself, even if you are not a woman.

This near-60-year-old exerciser has two other Leslie Sansone programs that he uses -- a 4-mile walk program and a 5-mile fast walk program, and while all are likeable, of the three, this "Walk Away Your Waistline!" is the most satisfying because the most wholly enjoyable. (P.S.: The walk-belt is a real plus, but if you're larger than a size 42" waist, you won't be able to wear it. It's not stretchable. However, there's only one exercise in the entire program that really requires that the belt be anchored around the waist. You can go ahead and get this video and the belt if you want to use the belt without it closing around the waist. One also can substitute an exercise band or "stretchie" for the belt -- or one can add an extra piece of velcro for the expanded waist since the belt get cinched with velcro.)

5.0 out of 5 stars Leslie Sansone Work out Dvd, February 27, 2008
This review is from: Leslie Sansone: Walk at Home: Walk Away Your Waistline! (DVD)
This was my first dvd of Leslie Sansone, it is a great workout. Very motivating, you can stop at one mile or go all the way to three. The workout band gives your arms something to do, and increases your heartrate for a good overall workout.

I really like the DVD and the belt that comes with it. It really gives you a great workout. I can't finish to the end, but now the DVD workout
will last longer.
