5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Summary of Labor Law, December 14, 2010

I am an ESL teacher with a background in law. A Colombian lawyer who had previously studied with me asked me to help her with the differences between our labor laws. This book was an excellent introduction to labor law. Anyone who needs a summary of this area will benefit from this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Hobo Philosopher, November 28, 2007

This book is exactly what I thought it was. It is a concise synopsis of labor laws in the U.S. I wanted such a guide to help in my research on this subject. My first disappointment was that it didn't go back into the Colonial period but as I think about it that would be a whole other book entirely. This book deals with the actual laws that were made and describes them briefly. It is a good reference book and that is what I wanted.

3.0 out of 5 stars different from textbooks, February 10, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is not extremely helpful. It is explained well, but it does not follow the textbook or use many of the same cases. I really didnt use it much.
