5.0 out of 5 stars SLAYER
This Cd is pretty good considering it actually has metal bands like poison and SLAYER and Danzig, but what I like most about this soundtrack id in-da-gadda-da-vida by Iron Butterfly redone by Slayer, it is better than the Iron Butterfly version.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fair 80s nostalgia, but the score is best
For those who are looking for the original soundtrack score to the film, it's done by Thomas Newman. The same artist who did some other more recent and great soundtracks: American Beauty, Meet Joe Black, etc. I'm trying to find it too, but believe it may be unavailable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Epitomy of 80's decadence, January 15, 1999

This album has two of the greatest covers of all time:slayer's rousing version of In A Godda Da Vida and The Bangles incredible remake of Hazy Shade of winter. Who could ever forget the scene when the movie opens and that song plays, it is simply breath taking. This album features alternative 80's tunes that is essential to any cd collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wanted: Thomas Newman Scores, October 3, 2006
By
This review is from: Less Than Zero (1987 Film) (Audio CD)
It's astonishing what Newman can do in this score with a simple crescendo. I hope someone comes to their senses and releases the score to 'Less than Zero' as well as 'Men don't Leave', another of Newman's heart-wrenching, unreleased scores.

5.0 out of 5 stars Classical/ Orchestra Music / Glenn Danzig, September 3, 2006
This review is from: Less Than Zero (1987 Film) (Audio CD)
I rate this soundtrack a 5 just from Glenn's performance!
If Raymond Rosswell and Peetus want to hear some GREAT Clasical/Orchestra Music then check out Black Aria from Glenn Danzig! It's not your typical metal/classical music you might expect from Danzig!
It is trully great!

4.0 out of 5 stars Less Than Zero Movie Soundtrack., January 18, 2010
This review is from: Less Than Zero (1987 Film) (Audio CD)
Cool Soundtrack which I have, do Bad "You And Me(Less than Zero)" Song by Glenn Danzig and The Power & Fury Orchestra is barely heard in one scene. It's my favorite along with Roy Orbison's "Life Fades Away(Written by Danzig)
Those are the two best songs on the soundtrack along with the last track.

4.0 out of 5 stars Less Than Zero Soundtrack, December 19, 2005
This review is from: Less Than Zero (1987 Film) (Audio CD)
Good collection of songs. Poison has a neat rendition of KISS's "Rock and Roll All Nite". A great Slayer cover of "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" is a great slash metal tune. Aerosmith's cover of "Rockin' Pneumonia and the Boogie Woogie Flu" sounds like nothing else, on par with "Train..", "Walking the Dog" and "Come Together" as Aerosmith's great cover songs. But, perhaps the steal of the record is a great Public Enemy song for enthusiasts and casual fans alike, "Bring the Noise" might have you coming back for more. Great collection on the car stereo or anywhere. The 4 out of 5 stars is mostly because of the song-to-song transition. Great artist sampler. Try it!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Love this CD!, March 7, 2000
This review is from: Less Than Zero (1987 Film) (Audio CD)
This CD has a really good cover songs. What I really like the most is the remake of the In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida redone by Slayer or Hazy Shade of Winter by the Bangels. Other than that I absolutely love this CD. Thank you.

1.0 out of 5 stars What a Shame, October 26, 2007
This review is from: Less Than Zero (1987 Film) (Audio CD)
There is a lot of background music in this film that never made this collection. Unfortunetly it was also some of the best music from the movie. Why don't they put together "real" soundtracks that include all of the artists used? Instead they always give us their own watered-down choices. Bummer.
