5.0 out of 5 stars <CLASSIC. BAY AREA RAP. GROUND BREAKING. SIMPLY SFCs FINEST>, September 30, 2002

What's up ya'll they definitely don't come any realer than this. RBL Posse's is one of FRISCO'S and the Bay Area's best. It's funny after reading all the reviews and after all these years there is nothing I can disagree w/ except that after bumpin' this in your ride, boom box, or while riding underground in the MUNI, you definitely can get a taste of the SFC lifestyle, sound, taste, and culture. RBL are seasoned vets that came harder than most back in a time when most folks were barely putting it down for their towns. MASTERPIECE, CLASSIC, SIMPLY SFC'S FINEST, all these are words that fall way short of describing what RBL put down for their town and the whole bay w/ this album. From Top 2 Bottom the cd is one you can just pop in your deck and let play over & over again...

RIP Mr. Cee, Cougnut, and Pac. 1 luv. -2002 out and peace to the cats bumpin' this back in '92, back in the days, when I was barely coming up and couldn't afford to cop this disc.

5.0 out of 5 stars ALWAYS ON POINT...., January 15, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Lesson to Be Learned (Audio CD)
I first I bought this Album was in the early part of 93. I was in the swap meet down on Slauson in L.A., heard it bumping and asked who it was. I bought it. I next heard them on West Coast Bad Boys with Master P, making a dollar out of fifteen cents. I've bought this album 3 times. If you loan it out, you won't get it back. Plus, this one's hard to get now. It took me 2 months to get it this last time via special order. So, order now before its gone. The beats are fat and original. The lyrics are dope and original. Especially the cut with Totally Insane. It's 2000 and I'm still bumping it. Plus their other ones too. If anyone know where I can find RBL Posse's Hitman "Solo Creep" let me know. You have to get this if you like gangsta rap music. THEY AIN'T NO JOKE.

5.0 out of 5 stars RBL, April 15, 2008

I have listened to this cd over and over again and I never rerally get tired of it. This is my opinion is the best of RBL's work and one of my favorite cd's of all time. With the intro advising of whats going to happen all the way to the outro this cd is a masterpiece. It combines humour with steet raps and sounds somewhat un-polished which helps to give it a great vibe. If wu tang is the best group in the east than by far RBL is the best from the west.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply the best rap album created., October 24, 2006

I would like everyone reading these online reviews to know, especially those considering the eloquent words of "The Ultimate Can of Hormel Chili" as potentially accurate, that he gave clay aiken's new album 3/5 stars. it warrants repeating my friends; "CLAY AIKEN's NEW ALBUM 3/5 STARS." Keep that in perspective as you read his reviews, and have yourself a good laugh as I did.

It's a fantastic album with a litany of hits. Great lyrics, great beats, and for it's time, simply untouchable. Every subsequent album owes homage to these guys as they were truly ground-breaking.

5.0 out of 5 stars Smokin', June 20, 2006

This review is from: Lesson to Be Learned (Audio CD)
RBL Posse's first album is loaded with heat that'll get your stereos thumpin all day. The lyrics are menacing, straight up old fashioned gangsta rap, totally unlike the candy MTV rap of today. All of the beats beats courtesy of Black C (G's By The 123's by TC) are neat. I love the old school P-Funk samples, so you know the beats are bouncy, perfect for lowridin down the avenue. In fact, some of the beats and samples slightly hint at old school Ice Cube, but with a bay area twist. G-Funk gems like this were sadly slept on, and are still so today.
