A Lesson With Leadbetter: Swing Fundamentals [VHS]

I expected a breakdown of the entire swing. It was not obvious to me when I ordered this video that it was only vol 1. Vol 2 is needed, I assume, to receive input on the back swing and swing.I feel every thing should be on one tape or there should be a note on the jacket that both vol 1 and vol 2 are needed for a full description of the proper golf swing. Being a beginner, I'm sure I should of known better.

The title is misleading since the entire swing lesson is emcompassed in 2 companion tapes. However, I have found the set to be an excellent communication of the essence of the swing that really helps. Most of the other tapes I've seen are compilations of "tips" and videos of one or another pro golfer's swing, interesting but difficult to translate into action.

Leadbetter is a real teacher, that is, someone who has found ways to communicate by concepts and drills what the student must do to learn for himself. The demonstration is in a setting of teaching another amateur in just the way Leadbetter does it in his private sessions.

The true test will be in what becomes of my handicap next year but I definitely feel that I have something to work on.

This video helped my game, I changed my grip and stance in accordance with the video, and my consistancy has improved greatly. I am going to try another one of David Leadbetter's videos.

This video is completely dedicated to the swing fundamentals and nobody seems to teach them like Leadbetter does in this VHS. Although the begining was boring as hell and certainly unecessary, David takes you into the basic swing fundamentals that have gained him the pleasure of working with Nick Faldo, Ernie Els and other PGA Tour pros. Apply these basic steps and just let the swing rip. I was amazed not only because my swing improved, but because my swing improved off of such a boring video. The results are astounding!
