5.0 out of 5 stars Jews were not the first monotheist, October 29, 2006
By
Free "Free" (Los Angeles, CA) - See all my reviews
Good book but my comment is really a response to the other comment. Jews were not the first monotheistic people, in fact, Jews are henotheist. Jews agree that there are multiple Gods, however they only worship one. The Egyptian leader Amenhotep 4, or Akhenaton, was a monotheist.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful teaching resource, January 24, 2011
This is a wonderful educational resource and a great outline for creating lesson plans and study units. Highly recommended for parents and teachers interested in educating their students in African and "African-American" history from the perspective of the African/"African-American" instead of the European version of history that is commonly taught.
