Intelligent, gutsy and surprising. It's not a punk record at all, despite what some may have expected and said. It's much more than that. The first track will blow you away. Hang on for the rest of the ride. You'll find nothing predictable or hackneyed here.

solid post punk effort along the lines of the wipers. stand out tracks include "distress call", "the vacillator", and "nothing left to lose".

Tempted by the promise of finding an intellegent, hardrocking band I purchased this CD. Unfortunately, while the tunes could be catchy and the musicianship was good, the lyrics were pretty much alternating between banal tripe and overblown "social" commentary. These guys are not like Swervedriver, despite comparisons made in the press.
