Lester Young is one of the most influential tenor saxophonists of the bebop era. ESP-Disk' is now releasing previously unavailable 1950s broadcasts recorded at Birdland, with an array of stellar side performers. It is our pleasure to pay homage to the "Prez" with this disc! Features Lester Young along with Jesse Drakes on trumpet, Earl Knight on piano, Aaron Bell on bass, Lee Abrahams on percussion, the Steve Allen House Band, and the Count Basie Orchestra.
